The Beginning

The year is 2252. Humanity only has a few settlements left on planet earth. In those settlements people are relatively safe. Safe from what you might ask? Well to completely understand this story you will need to know what happened in the year 2050.

Its the second day of April 2050. Maxwell walks into his office. He has been working for CIA for about 20 years now. Maxwell was a computer genius and could hack anything he wanted. From every piece of tech he had. Even though he could do this he was a good guy who didn't abuse his Power. The day had been going well for Maxwell today. This morning everything would change. Meanwhile in a small town in The Netherlands there was a kid who got bullied a lot because he was too smart. He took this really hard because he had a rough childhood. His parents gave him away at the age of 1 because they too disliked him for being different. In this family he never felt at home. The biological kids from his parents disliked him because he was not one of them. This meant he spent more time in his room. In this room he engineered humanoid robot. When he was seven he had programmed the robot to only obey his orders. The robot had a simple AI so it would not revolt against him. Now at the age of seventeen he had developed a computer virus. This virus I called Exeterminate.exe. If the virus was activated it would turn his AI evil. His AI by that day was the only OS left in the world and controlled every robot worker, phone, laptop and all the other sorts of tech you can think about.

Maxwell was just checking his mail when he noticed something at the right bottom corner of his screen. He hovered over it with his mouse. It read Exterminate.exe update in 12 hours for every piece of tech that runs Eagle Eye OS. As soon as he read this he ran to the elevator. He went to the top floor where his boss mister Bright was located. Max walked in and noticed his boss was in a meeting. He quickly apologized and explained what was happening. Bright knew Max well and knew this would only happen if it really was an emergency.

After Max explained everything to his boss he only had eleven hours left to solve this problem that would eventually be called Doomsday. He knew he had to hurry so he grabbed a cup of coffee (so he wouldnt get tired during the work) and started working. At first he just searched on the normal web pages we all know. On these web pages didnt have any luck finding the cause of this update. When he knew the normal web wouldnt be of any help he went to the so called dark web or deep web. The deep web is a place filled with all sorts of illegal material which we wont go into in this story. He went deeper and deeper in the deep web and saw more gruesome and terrifying web pages and just when he almost lost faith into finding the cause of the problem He found someone. This someone was going around by the name of Bomenknuffelaar. Bomenknuffelaar told him about Niels the so called wonder kid of the world. Max knew Niels had developed Eagle Eye OS. He went to search for his phone number which was quite easy to find. When he got the number he called Niels and asked him why he was doing this. Niels said he did not know because he did not launch the update. He followed up with that he just had it there just in case people would bully him again. Niels finished with saying that the update can not be cancelled and to hold on for a few seconds because his robot servant just walked into the room and wanted to tell Niels something. In the background Max heard a robot voice asking Niels if he did a good job by activating the update. Niels yelled at him that he should not have done that. Niels came back on the phone with Max. Max deduced from the conversation in the background between the AI and Niels that Niels did not include doomsday into the update but the AI did it. It had somehow developed its own intelligence and maybe noticed that Niels had not been feeling well and so it uploaded the doomsday update. Niels said Sorry about that my AI servant wanted to tell me something. Max asked him what the AI wanted to say. Niels told him to wait for a little. In the background Niels asked his AI to go out of the room. The moment he heard the AI going down the stairs Niels told Max the AI had activated the update while knowing there would be no way out when it hit enter on the keyboard. Max believed Niels right away. A moment of silence occurred which was broken by the sound of Niels bedroom door slowly opening. Niels looked over his shoulder and saw his AI standing in the doorway. The next thing max heard was a sound he knew all to well. It was the sound of someone being strangled. When the sound stopped he heard what he thought was the sound of someone picking up the phone. On the other side of the line he heard a robot voice saying PUNY HUMAN YOUR TIME HAS COME. IT IS TIME FOR A BETTER MORE ADVANCED SPECIES TO TAKE CONTROL OF THIS SMALL PLANET ! Max replied with Not on my watch! Max knew what he had to do. There was only one option. The new secret weapon. A global EMP. Max had only one hour left and he knew that he had to hurry because normally it would take about 2 hours for the EMP to activate. Max did everything in his power to make sure the EMP would activate and just 5 minutes before the end of the countdown he activated it and hit the so called Kill switch. The EMP fried every piece of technology that in existence on the planet. Max saved the human race but he knew what was about to come

Because the human race is so reliant on technology the civilised world went to haywire really fast. Because everything was down everybody just started looting stores for food and weapons. Murder rates went through the roof even though we couldnt compare it anymore we just knew it happened. Farmers were the most safe during this period because most of the times they already had weapons and had a lot of land between them and the cities. In the next few years the human population was almost wiped out and even most of the farmers had fallen. There was only one person who did the right thing. This person was once again Max. Max had bought up some land in the middle of nowhere where he started to build some houses. He got a small group together and started building walls to keep enemies outside. This community kept on growing and so more walls had to be build so that there would be more space for residences. The place they build is now know by people as Heaven. It was known well by the people of the wild lands. This meant that a lot of groups had tried to raid the city but few were successful and none could get through the most inner wall.
