I woke up with a sore head and a dizzy feeling. My eyes were tired and thick with sleep. I tilted my head slightly from side to side to see my surroundings. The world was surrounded by guards. They seemed angry. Their shoulders were broad and their faces were serious. Their eyes were glassy and translucent. I got up and rushed over to the guards. They carried massive guns and their fingers were resting on the trigger, ready to shoot. "Hello?" I called out to them attentively, no response. "Hello?" I said again whilst waving my hand in front of their faces. "Don't bother" a figure besides me murmured. I stumbled back and shrieked. It was a girl, she had long glossy blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. 'Hi' I stuttered back in response. "Who are-" I began to question but was cut off by the girl. "I'm Mellissa!" Her smile was sweet and kind as she stretched her hand out to me. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, no one did that anymore. "Sorry" Mellissa sighed as she blinked her eyes rapidly. "Think I'm in the wrong era!" She laughed uncomfortably. "Haha" I laughed uncertainty. "Let's try that again!" Mellissa beamed. "I'm Mellissa, most people call me Mell though!" I smiled at her and said "I'm Alexa. Do you have any idea where we are?"
Melissa's POV-
My stomach was doing summersaults as I spoke to Alexa. She had dainty features and pretty brown hair that tumbled just past her shoulders. I wondered what she thought of me, she probably thought I was weird, especially after I tried to shake her hand. Jeez, no one ever gets the wrong era! Embarrassing! She probably thought there was something wrong with my software or wiring. Damn it! I was so exited to finally have a new animatronic to teach. I probably blew my chance. Argh. She seemed somewhat odd. I'm not sure but it was almost like she was a... human. With characteristics and feelings. I shook the thought away. Not possible. They were all murdered in the life massacre 100 years ago. My eyes surveyed her attentively. Her movements were smooth and fluid unlike like my jagged and constricted movements. I admired her smooth and somewhat realistic skin. All of the particles appeared to blend together perfectly with no patches or blotches anywhere. Her teeth were not as straight and fake as mine, they seemed to naturally face away from each other as if she was created that way on purpose. She had imperfections! None of us animatronics have imperfections! I just couldn't figure her out.
Alexa's POV-
Mellissa was utterly flawless. Her gorgeous wavy hair bounded about her back; her blue eyes were icy and beautiful; her teeth were pristine and straight; her figure was on point, as was her outfit; her face shape was curved perfectly and her cheek bones were extravagant and evident. I found myself staring at her in awe. I looked away and blushed. "So when did you arrive?" Mellissa asked lightly. "Uhh today just a few minutes ago I guess..." I replied. "That's awesome! Who sent you? Sir Patterson or Sir Walters?" Mellissa beamed. "No one sent me" I said blankly. Who the hell were Sir Patterson and Sir Walters? "Don't be silly!" Mellissa giggled "of course someone sent you!". "Look" I began "I don't even know who those people are! "Yes you do!" Mellissa laughed. "I don't!" I retorted. "Wait so you actually don't know our founders?" Mellissa asked and looked at me like I was an alien. "What did you learn at school?" she questioned. "Ummm chemistry, physics, biology, history, geography, English and PE?" I replied, it seemed more of a question than a response though. I felt my cheeks go hot as she stared at me. "Are you..." she began "a human?" She finished. Now it was my turn to look at her like she was crazy. "Yes. Yes obviously!" I said hotly "what else would I possibly be?" I asked incredulously. "An animatronic of course!" Mellissa shrieked as she stumbled away from me. My eyes widened in horror and I began to turn away to make a quick escape. "Not so fast, human" she spat as she zoomed, literally, to my side and grabbed my arm. "How..." I began to ask but then I realised that she was a robot so she could do this kind of thing. She was a robot!!! I needed to get out of there. "Let go of me!" I yelped as I tried, and failed, to free myself from her iron grip. "Your not going anywhere!" Mellissa glared. What happened to the nice Mellissa who was there a minute ago? I asked myself. Mellissa was made out of metal. I realised that I could never beat her. She might as well have had supernatural powers, i was weak compared to her. I let myself be dragged by her until I caught a glimpse of a tall building. There was a threatening spike on the top and a huge sign saying that all humans would be slaughtered if they were to enter. It was at that moment that I knew I had to escape. "NO!" I yelled and threw myself back against her grip, nothing. Really? "Let me go!" I screamed out again and I sunk my teeth into her flesh. Contact. My teeth make contact with something hard and cold, metal. I tore my mouth away from her arm in disgust. I kept throwing myself back and kicking her as hard as I could but it wasn't working I wouldn't give up though! Eventually Mellissa stopped and took a napkin or cloth out of her pocket. "Sorry Alexa, it's my programming not me..." Mellissa groaned as she shoved the cloth to my mouth and nose. I opened my mouth the protest but just ended up getting the cloth in it. A sickly sweet scent filled my nostrils and a sweet yet sour taste filled my mouth. Without a second to spare I found myself collapsing onto the ground into a deep sleep.
