"You can do this Michelle, come on!" Louis begged like a small child. I laughed at my dance partner and shook my head. "I am your best friend and I demand you to do this!" Louis joked around.

Louis Dane has been my dance partner since I could remember. We both started dancing at the age of four at Mrs. Basil's Dance Academy in 2002 and have been there ever since. It was a toddler's ballet class and basically all we did was run and around and pretend to be fairies or butterflies. I remember Louis refused to be a fairy and decided that he was going to be a lion, which disturbed this girl called Jenny Milano who went completely berserk at yelled at him.

Louis then stuck out his tongue at her and continued to be a lion. I decided to join him and soon after that Louis and I were best friends. We went to the same Elementary School, Middle School and now High School which was where we met our other best friend, Ivie Watson. In a few months, we all were going to become seniors and when Louis and I graduate we were going to audition for the Elite Dance Company, the best dance company in the US.

"You know I don't do dance tricks until I feel comfortable with them, Louis." I argued. He groaned and ran his hand through his hair.

"Not comfortable? We've been training for weeks, continuously practicing so you know as well as I do that 'I'm not comfortable with this' crap is a bunch of bull. We're ready Michelle! I will not let you down. I'll be there for you, when you're lost out there and your all alone, I'll be the light that'll carry you home."

I chuckled at his use of puns. He used the theme songs from my two favourite shows to convince me, and it did. "Fine, you win. You play dirty, Mr. Dane, you evil boy." He scoffed, "Says you! Now let's do this Michelle."

What we were doing was dangerous. We were doing the lift from Dirty Dancing and it might not look dangerous but it was. To do the lift I had to run towards Louis, he had to grab my hips, we had to breathe together and go low together to get the same timing to get the spring to lift me up and I had to trust Louis's muscles and virility. When I was up in the air I had to use every muscle in me to keep perfectly still because now I was over his head, if anything went wrong one of us could get up seriously hurt.

I took a couple of deep breaths and ran up to Louis, feeling the uncomfortableness float away. I felt him grab my hips and we got the spring and he lifted me up. I kept perfectly still, but I could feel Louis's arms shaking a bit. I was worried for a second, but I told myself to forget about it. Louis was strong. I trusted him.

Louis suddenly let out a strangled cry and I felt us tilt to the side. As I felt myself falling I let out a small scream as I same the ground coming closer and closer. I shut my eyes.

My right knee was the first part of my body to collide with the ground, my left arm was next, the rest of my body followed afterwards and then my head clashed against the floor. Unbearable pain pierced my body like tiny needles were stabbing me profusely throughout my body.

It hurt to move, hurt to breathe, hurt to think. I felt the tears consume my skin, rapidly falling upon my cheeks. My screams sounded like sirens, my tears tasted salty against my lips. I saw Louis limp towards the door and bellowed out to Sally, the receptionist, for help.
