Switch- Chapter 1

SWITCH

(LOUIS AND CARLA)

CHAPTER 1

"Come on. It will be fun. I promise."

I'm insisting my bestfriend Olivia to come with me to a party.

"No." she said stubbornly.

"As soon as you're getting bored, I'll drive you home."

"No."

"There are lots of food there."

"No."

"Hot guys?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"You're so pretty."

"No- What?"

"Hahahaha! Please Olivia, come. I don't know anyone there." I told her.

"Then why come?"

"I already promised Priscilla. And I told her I'd bring you along."

"You told her what?"

"Please Olivia," I begged her. "This will be her last party. She'll be going home to Brazil." I pouted.

She sighed. "Fine. What can I do?" I grinned. "Never pout again, okay? It's creepy."

I hit her with a pillow. "Shut up. Now, get dressed."

I haven't introduced myself yet, have I? I'm Carla Yvette Griffin. I'm 16. Second year at Greendale High. My Mom's a professor at Warwickshire. My Dad's a marine biologist. I have a brother. He's 4 years old. We call him Nick. He's studying at a grammar school in Warwickshire. He lives with my Mom and I live with my Dad. They're separated when I was 14. I had a boyfriend when I was 15. He's in the football team. And that jerk cheated on me.

"Hey there!"

Priscilla walked towards me and hugged me. Olivia's  taking her time walking toward us.

"Thanks for coming. I thought you're just kidding when you said you'll tag her along." She told me while tears are brimming in her eyes. Olivia and she used to be best friends in middle school but they broke apart because Priscilla did something that got Olivia very very angry. Since then, she didn't acknowledge Priscilla.

"I told you I would." I said.

When Olivia's already standing beside me, she spoke in a quiet voice. "Hey Priscilla."

The latter bit her lip. "Hi."

"I'll walk around, okay?" I told them so they'd have a few time to theirselves. I came across a bunch of people my age playing truth or dare. I recognized a few of them in school.

"Carla! Would you like to join?"

"Uh, yeah, sure." I sat down beside the one who spoke. I looked at the people in the circle. Yuck. Remember the jerk I was talking about earlier? He's here. And I caught a guy staring at me. Wait. I think I know him. I think I saw him before. I just don't know when and where. He's-

He smiled at me. Then he looked away.

Oh God. Isn't that guy in the band in X Factor?
