"But remember what I told you after you were stomping your feet back to your car?" She asked gently.

Bea scoffed. "That's a trick question. You didn't ask me anything."

"Yeah, cause I tackled you and then we fell on the grass."

Her eyes widen at the realization then a smile crept on her lips. "And then you kissed me..."

"I did. It was great. That moment was infinite."

There was a brief silence that surrounded them but was broken by Jho.

"But you know, if you would have gotten sick, you wouldn't need to tell me that I should take care of you. While we were drenched under the rain, I was already worried."

"I was shivering violently," she mumbled.

"Pero di pa rin tayo umalis. Instead, I hugged you for ten minutes."

"Alam mo naman pag gusto mo, I'll do anything to give it to you."

Jho sighed audibly. She was relieved that Bea couldn't see her face as of the moment cause she was in the verge of crying.

"I know." Kaya mahal kita eh.

"Are you happy? Bea asked her carefully as if it the topic was sensitive.

Jho hesitated for a second before spitting a halfhearted answer. "Yes."

The tall girl cleared her throat, composing herself for the conversation that awaits.

"That's good. I'm happy that you are," she sounded convincing to Jho.

"Ikaw ba?"

Bea did not allow herself to think. The question produced a mechanical answer from her ever since graduation. It was much convenient that way so that people won't ask anything more.

"Oo."

She snaked her arm around Jho's waist, hugging her from the side. She would never ever get tired of doing that because it's the only thing that is so close to kissing the girl she loves. Jho, on the other hand, savors every second next to girl she utterly and consumingly loves, because it was the only time she feels alive. There will always be passion in their relationship even if whatever they had before was long forgotten.

They were something. Maybe best friends—who can't keep their hands off each other, who can't last a day without being together.

And kiss each other.

It was something. Definitely something. But they let it stay like that because they didn't know that things would change between them.

"Naalala mo nung graduation? Nung-"

Both of their phones rang. They shifted their positions to cater the calls.

"Hello Marci?"

"Jia?"

They answered simultaneously and if their hearts could be heard, the crash would be loud enough to burst someone's ear.
