"Many years ago, in a quiet mountain village, in a beautiful mansion, lived Raven. She was a beautiful woman, with hair as black as the night sky and eyes like melted gold. She had sharp pale features like a bird. She was the sole desire of every man in the village."

The girl looked at her grandmother with curiosity.
"What happened to her?"

Her grandmother's face fell.
"One night a figure was found in the woods. A young man with the same dark hair and sharp features as Raven. At first the villagers thought he was a relative of Raven's, but when they asked her the next morning she said she'd had no visitors. This went on for many weeks, and each time Raven denied that she'd had a visitor. One night, a few villagers attacked the young man. When they pulled away his hat and jacket they discovered that it was Raven."

"Then what happened Grandma?"

"They tried her as a witch and she was burned at the stake, but before she died, she spoke a curse.
'In a hundred years time, my descendants will return to this village and discover my necklace. The necklace will bring a horrible curse upon them and this vile village. Only when the truth is discovered will you be free.'"

The girl stared at her grandmother in administration.
"Are we really related to Raven?"

The grandmother nodded solemnly.
"Yes, but we never did return to the village. No one nows why though."

The girl stood tall.
"I'll be the first then."

"Maybe you will."
