Chapter Twenty Six

The next day....
Alia's POV

Varun and I got ready and we were about to leave to go to Shraddha's house. Suddenly the door bell rings. I answer the door. "Adi!!" I squeal and hug him tightly.

"How have you been?" He asks.

"Great! You?"

"Awesome."

"Adi meet my husband Varun, Varun meet my brother Adi."

"It's Aditya." He shakes Varun's hand.

"Nice to meet you." Varun says.

"So what were you going to tell me?" Asks Aditya.

"Well your going to be an uncle soon." I say.

"What! Your pregnant?"

"Well...." I explain. "My best friends carrying my baby for me." I state.

"Oh she must be really nice." He says.

"We're going to her house right now. Come with us." I say.

"Yeah let me just put my suitcases away."

Shraddha's POV

Ayesha is teething and has cried all night keeping me and Sidharth up. "Shraddha you have a nap I'll look after Ayesha." Sidharth says.

"But -" he interrupts me.

"You need rest I don't wanna hear any excuses. Go to bed!" He says.

I lie down and close my eyes

Half an hour later...

I wake up to hear Alia saying my name.

"Shraddha! Shraddha!"

"I'm coming!"

I go downstairs.

"What is it Alu?" I ask tiredly.

"How's the baby?" She asks me.

"Fine until you woke me up!"

"Stop being such a grumpy grouch! Guess what?"

"What yaar?"

"My brother's here!"

I start sarcastically clapping.

"Just wait till you see him. He's so amazing to get to know to. You'll just love him!"

"Where is this brother? I can't see anyone!"

"He's going to come. Adi!"

I look at the door and see... Aditya. Aditya from college. I stare at him frozen.

Alia's POV

"Meet my brother Aditya." I say to Shraddha.

She stares at him, mouth open.

"Do you guys already know each other?" I ask.

Shraddha doesn't reply.

"Nope, never seen her before in my life. I'm Aditya." He says and shakes her hand.

"Aww isn't he a true gentleman?" I say.

"I gotta go." Shraddha says and dashes upstairs.

"Is that really the person carrying your baby? Doesn't seem suitable." Aditya says.

Shraddha's POV

I dash upstairs as quick as I can. What's he doing here? And he doesn't know me? Oh he knows me? I breathe heavily and hyperventilate.

It's okay Shraddha you can do this. Calm down. Don't stress. Not good for the baby.

"Shraddha?" It's Sidharth.

"Yeah?"

"Are you okay?" He asks.

"Yeah yeah."

He walks in.

"Why did you just run away like that?"

"Oh I just was feeling a bit sick. So I rushed up."

"Are you sure you're okay?" He asks.

"Yes yes don't worry."

"Come downstairs then."

"Okay."

I follow him downstairs with Ayesha in my arms and I see Aditya's evil face again.

I sit next to Sidharth on the sofa. He suddenly gets up and brings a plate of food. "Sidharth... please I'm not hungry." I state.

"Your eating. I don't care what you say." He feeds me.

"Shraddha I know it's a lot to ask but..." Alia begins.

"But what?"

"Can Aditya stay in the guest room? There's no space in our house."

"No!" I choke on my food.

"Why not Shraddha? Of course he can." Sidharth exclaims.

"I mean... if you want to... A... Adit..."

"Just... let me show you the room Aditya." Sidharth says and takes him upstairs.

"Are you okay Shraddha?" Alia asks.

"Yeah I'm just... feeling sick today."

"Go rest!" Varun insists.

"Urgh... I think I'm going to be..." I run to the bathroom.

Alia runs after me.

"Should I take your doctors?"

"Take your brother." I mutter under my breath.

"What?"

"I said no need."

"Are you sure?" She asks.

"Yes!"

Will Shraddha be okay? Has Aditya changed?
