when people use vocaloids/ anything as oc's

*breathes in deeply* oh boy don't get me started on this.

This should actually go for any use of an official character as an oc but it's most common with vocaloid

I see this most commonly done with
IA.

I don't know why people do it but they do.

Now trust me those of you who do this and are reading this I know what your thinking: "well even if I do do this I don't know this character and I don't know what vocaloid is so why the hell is this ass hole saying this shit?"

Even on my first phone(which was an absolute piece of shit) when you clicked on a picture you would get a link to a website and usually it's either wiki, DeviantArt, wattpad, pintrest, amino, reddit, Tumblr, or hell photobucket.

Honestly who Google imaged what they want their oc to look like?

I'm not calling anyone out I do it to sometimes. But the difference with me and people who LITTERALLY use the characters is that I only use them as a reference for people and sometimes even me.

You really shouldn't EVER use a piece of art as an oc weather it anime vocaloid or just a random character/ oc that someone drew.

And do you want to know why?

Not only is it art theft but also because it isn't yours in the first place.

The only way that it is really acceptable to use a piece of art that someone else made as your own as an oc is if you asked them to drew it for you and they mentioned for you to have the ability to use it as an oc OR someone game you permission to use it.

And not only that even if you aren't good at drawing a whole picture of them isn't the only way that you can make an oc visually.

Take PaxtonXVI for example.

Her book of oc's she makes the characters description and to describe her oc's looks and clothing she just searches the kind of shirt, pants, shoes, or anything else she wants on her oc and just puts the picture she chooses in the chapter.

So this entire thing could be avoided by just finding other ways hell even if you have to use a dress up game as long as your content with it.

Just please stop using other peoples art... It doesn't just annoy the living shit out of me there are plenty of other people who hate it too.
