"What's the kinkiest thing you've done in the boots? Certain people are asking," the interviewer asks me.
I smile, thinking about it. "Wearing the boots sans clothing," I laugh a little. "That's the kinkiest thing I've done."
I think back to that day. It was me, Zack, Kenny, and Dallon. At first, I had no idea what was going on, but then, as it slowly progressed, I started to like it. Enjoy it. Love it.
It started out a normal day. I woke up next to my beautiful wife, Sarah, and our two dogs, Bogart and Penny Lane. We ate breakfast together, I had a beer, and we got ready for the day to begin.
Zack came over that morning after Sarah left to pick something up from the store. He had a bag with him.
"Hey, man," I said, opening the door for him and letting him inside. "What's in the bag?"
He looks at me, then down at the bag in his hand, then back up at me. "I'll tell you when the others get here," he walks past me and sets the bag down on the couch in the living room.
"The others?" I'm confused. I thought it was just going to be me and Zack going to rehearsal today.
Zack nods, "Yeah. Dallon and Kenny. They should be here any minute now."
As soon as he says it, there's a knock on the door. "That should be them," he says, going to answer the door.
Soon enough, Zack, Dallon, Kenny, and I are all in my living room. I'm waiting for Zack to tell us what he has in the bag he brought.
Dallon is the first of us to break the silence. "So, Zack. What's that you have there in your bag?" he asks.
Zack looks up at him and smiles. "I'm glad you asked, Dallon," he says. He opens the bag and pulls a pair of boots out. And not just any boots. No. These boots are from the Kinky Boots wardrobe. Why does he have a pair of them?
I look from the boots to Zack. "Zack... what are you doing with those?" I ask him. Dallon and Kenny look at him, waiting for an answer.
"I wanted to try something," he starts taking his shoes off and putting the boots on. He looks at me, "Put yours on and let's see who has the kinkiest boots of them all."
