disasters in another life

The beginning

"Come on, I'll be back before you know it" my older sister Adelaide said. She was off to band camp." Wait",I said in a hurrying tone "What is it now clair", Adelaide said, "you forgot to give me a hug, I didn't want to miss you". And there she was on the bus to go to band camp.

The next day I had school it was the worst. First, I was late to class, then everybody was teasing me because I hadn't brushed my hair that morning. "I hope the rest of the week isn't like this", I said in my head. But I had to be right. I ended up going home early on Wednesday because I hadn't felt good that morning .

Thursday comes and goes by surprisingly quick. Friday morning, I'm so excited to see Adelaide that I didn't even notice the new guy and I walked right in to him while looking down at my tablet. "Sorry let me get that for you", he said, " thanks", I say back. "Issac", he said holding out his hand. " clair", I say shaking his hand. His hair was dirty blond, and his brown eyes shined in the light, his dark skin was like creamy chocolate, his voice was so soft, innocent, and dreamy that he could instantly persuade someone to love him, like what he was doing to me.

The next morning Adelaide wasn't home from band camp, (she was supposed to come home last night). I asked mom, she didn't know either. We called the school to see what happened. "Hello um, I would like to know if my daughter, Adelaide,when she will be home", my mom said " I'm sorry, but you would have to talk to the principal on when there coming home thank you, have a nice day", the lady sounded worried. We called the principal and he said he would call us if he heard anything, so we waited for at least 3 hours to see if he would call back. He only called once to see if we have seen the news. My mom quickly without thinking turned on the T.V and turned it to the news. It was a flipped bus!
