Sunsets and Simple Love

They walk hand in hand. With fingers interlaced, they looked at the sky which was blossoming with beautiful color. When the couple reaches their destination they sit on a bench which overlooks a small pond. The pond reflects the light of the sun making the water dance and shimmer in small, white ripples. The various noises emerge from the tall grass that surrounds the aqua paradise. The chirp of a frog is the most prominent sound that is emitted as the couple looks over dying day. 

They watch the sun sink slowly into the soft earth as the colors chase the sun into the night. Bright burnt orange overtakes the blue sky only to be highlighted by twinges of the darkest purple and brightest pink. The clouds that are usually white are now a mixture of purple and pink making the lining of the thin cloud glow. 

The man wraps his muscular arm over the woman's petite shoulders. The woman snuggles closer to the man with a sparkle in her eye. It is almost as if the reflection of the sky made her eyes come to life. 

She looks on with her brunette hair blowing in the crisp air. Breathlessly she whispers, "Please, don't ever let go." Never wanting this feeling of warmth to end.

 The man beside her with a goofy, heartwarming smile looks down at her in awe of her natural beauty. He says, "I can't promise you that I won't let go." 

As the woman, looking disappointed, tears her eyes away from the many colors of the sunset,the man states, "But I will promise you that I will always love you unconditionally for as long as the sun rises and sets." 

 Looking into her beautiful bluish green eyes he reaches down and gently lifts her chin to make her eyes completely meet his. She puts her hand on his cheek while blinking slowly. A silent connection is made as they stare into each other's eyes. Both lean in, while slightly cocking their heads to the side, and share a kiss with the sunset being the only witness to this act of simple love.
