All girls want to be princesses to have life laid out on a silver spoon for them and to have a "brave" prince save them whenever they break a nail or get a paper cut. The streets of Alaina are always covered in grime and dirt. I guess that it's only fair considering that the people here are more like beasts that humans. The only way to survive in this world is to adapt and show no mercy. Survival of the fittest is the unspoken law. Thousands of people die everyday trying to kill others for spots. Murder is quite common and throughly accepted. The top ten of the listing are known as the most powerful beings and considered deities. Not even the boy king can do anything to stop them. The "king" is controlled by the prime minister from the shadows who makes sure that this cycle of violence never ends. There is no way to beat this world only the hope to live long enough to see tomorrow. In this world stained with blood you can never how to wash off.
