There was 0:07 seconds left on the clock. Katie had the ball. They were down by 2, she had to make the last 3 pointer to win. 0:06 left as she looked to her coach who mouth the words," Take it!". 0:05 as she dribbled the ball down the court. 0:04, as she approached the 3 point line. 3, 2, 1 the ball left her hands. It floated to the hoop as if gravity was turned off. Everyone in the stands rose their feet as the ball got closer to the hoop. The buzzer went off. Swish. The crowd went crazy! She had worked so hard for this moment, she started crying tears of joy. She forgot all about her past games, turnovers and missed shots. She never even thought a second about her past bullying, drama, and fake friends. All that mattered to her, was the basketball and the hoop. She then fell to the floor, and realized that something was wrong. She had a sharp pain in her left knee, and when she hit the floor, she hit the floor hard enough to put another pain in her left shoulder. She had just passed out as she saw the ambulance take her off the floor. She woke up in the hospital bed with her mother by her side. She blurted," Where am-" then she got cut off by a sharp pain in her head and her mother responded," You hurt your knee badly, you won't be able to play the championship game in 2 weeks, doctor's order." "I don't care what the doctor says! I'm going to play no matter what!" She said very rudely, not realizing that her mother was crying along with her father. "What's wrong with you guys?" She tsked. Her mother waited in the silence, then her father decided to speak up. "Katie, honey, if you play in the championship game in two weeks, you might hurt your knee for good. You might not be able to play the rest of your life."
