The Nerd I Loved (Block B Taeil)

Chapter 5

"I won't have sympathy over you when me and my friends crush you into tiny bits.." He hissed, flashing laser eyes. I really had nothing to say, I was doomed. He pushed me away, causing me to lose my balance but I luckily held onto a desk.

"She likes me, not you. You're nothing but a nerd." He spat and walked out of the classroom.

'She likes me, not you. You're nothing but a nerd.'

His words are sadly true, she does like Kai. And I'm just a nerd.

"Hey Taeil, what are you doing here?" I looked up to see Kyung.

"Oh, nothing. I was leaving-"

"You don't look very nice."

"I know, Kyung. I look fugly."

"No, not like that. You look.. Not happy. I thought you finally made Chaerin smile yesterday" he said. I nodded.

"But the thing is, she likes Kai.."

"Kim Jongin?"

I nodded. He sighed and shook his head.

"I don't like him. He thinks he's all that, whatever. Taeil, don't give up on her. You've been fighting for her since forever, you can't stop here," he encouraged. I nodded.

"Thanks Kyung. I have to go to class, I'm going to be late."

"Run like the wind, Taeil," he said as I waved and went to my next class. Kyung is right, I can't give up just yet. I can't give up because of a little preppy boy that thinks he can own the world.

Chaerin POV

"Dara, can I have your bread? I'm really hungry today," I asked her. She nodded and handed me it.

"Wow, you're eating so much. Are you having a bad day?" Bom asked. I sighed.

"Well, kinda. I don't know," I replied.

Today has been a little, weird for me. This morning, I had seen Taeil on the floor aching for some reason, and then I saw Kai with some girl, and I admit, I was a tiny bit jealous. The way he smiled at her, laughed, ignored me when I passed right by him. Does he even remember we are going to hang out after school today?

Cheerleading is also just killing me, I hate dressing all girly. Well, I do it for Bom. I love Bom Unnie, and I can't just get out of the quad just because I'm sick of it. Plus, there will be a basketball game next week, and we're going to be cheering the boys on.

"I saw you and Taeil together walking to biology, I see you two get along now!" Dara exclaimed. I simply nodded.

"We get along well. He's not that nerdy like I thought he would be, it's just his image." I replied.

"You two are so cute together!" Bom squealed.

"Ew," Minzy said. I simply kept my mouth shut because I know I can't say anything to that. If I say ew, the world will probably jinx me and the next day I'll be dating him.

Ew.

"He's a sweetheart!" Bom said happily.

"Then why don't you date him?" I asked her with glaring eyes.

"Woah, CL, don't be jealous, I'd never take him away from you," she said innocently.

"Yahh! Ew, that's not what I meant!" I yelled. She only giggled.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Seriously though, he is nice and Kai doesn't seem very .. Nice." She said, digging into her salad.

"Yeah he is, he's super nice to me," I defended.
