Divergent (The beginning)

Chapter 1

TRIS' POV

"Tris", says my doctor to get my attention.  I am so nervous right now, I can not concentrate.  This is how I felt when I first met Tobias.  "The results came in positive, you are pregnant. I am truly happy for you Tris!"

I ain't at all, I mean what am I gonna tell Tobias!, I think to myself as I head out to leave.

           Later on I arrive home, still  stuck on what I'm gonna do. I keep thinking and thinking, but nothing comes to mind. 

"Hey Tris!", says my friend Christina. "How did your appointment go?"

"Not as well as I thought it would. I'm pregnant.  I don't know what to do? I have all these thoughts of whats gonna happen if I do or don't tell Tobias!

"Listen, I know you are scared, but you love him as much as you love dauntless cake! Just listen to your heart.", says Christina acting like a preacher. " I gotta go meet up with Will, talking about our wedding,bye!"

She shuts the door and I'm all alone. Great! Now I'm even more scared. I can't handle this anymore, I gotta get out of this mess before I explode! 

RING, RING, RING!!!! I answer my phone and my mom starts talking.

"Hey sweetie, we were just wondering if you can come down to Chicago and visit us for a while?", says my mother.

"Of course mom, actually I think I'm gonna visit for a really long time."

                                       *TIME LAPSE* (2 years later, on Christina's wedding day!)

"Mommy!", say my beautiful baby boy named Toby. I named him Toby since his daddy's name starts with Tob also. Man, I miss Tobias. I wonder how he's doing?

"Hey buddy, you ready for Christina's wedding!", I say

"Yeah!", says Toby.

" Well, lets go then."

              We start on our way. Christina chose to have her wedding here in Chicago, so she could be home for a little while. I've missed her a lot and I'm so excited to see her! I wonder what she will think of Toby though. I mean, he looks just like his daddy. I can hardly look at him without almost crying. Not a day goes by that I don't think about Tobias. I wonder what would've happened if I had told him, and not ran away like a baby.

We soon arrive at the reception as it is about to start. My mom watches Toby for me, while I go to see Christina.

"Tris! I've missed you so much. I can't believe it has been this long!", says Christina in her beautiful wedding gown. It has lacy sleeves with a silver waistband. It is the most astonishing dress I've ever seen.

"I know right! Oh, and you look so beautiful! So happy for you Chris.", I say with tears in my eyes. "I just can't believe it has been this long. By the way, how has Tobias been?"

"I was wondering if you were gonna ask me that! Well, I never told him that you were pregnant, beacause I thought you should since it is both of y'alls kid. But after you left, he was devastated. He wouldn't even eat until Zeke and Shauna forced him to. He blamed himself after you left. He said that he kept driving people away like his dad, so he hasn't dated ever since. He really loved you Tris and I'm sure he still loves you!", say Christina."

"I appreciate Chris, but I think it is time to start the wedding!", I say as we start heading down to the ceremony. I leave her with her dad and find my mom and Toby in the crowd. I see Will on stage with Uriah as his best man. I guess the gang is still together. Suddenly, Christina walks in and starts walking down the isle. Her dress sparkling in the light, as she steps on stage grabbing Will's hand.

The pastor starts the ceremony. ""Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. With that being said Christina, do you take Will to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do!"

"And do you Will, take Christina to be your lawfully weeded wife?"

"I do!"

"Then you may kiss the bride!", says the pastor finishing the ceremony.

  Will kisses Christina with excitement. They are really in love. I am so happy for my friends!

           As I start to leaves with Toby, someone says my name and I know who it is. The man I loved and never stopped loving.

"Tris!", says Tobias. "I think we need to talk!"
