Her white sundress was shimmied up slightly around her thighs, the air smelled like summer with a hint of earth. Her face was next to the open window. Her big blue eyes were softly closed shut and the wind toyed with her deep brown curls pulling them in every way. She belted out the cheesy song lyrics to a One Direction song and her bright smile shone through her face. Her laugh radiated around the car infecting my chapped lips to curl. I placed my hand in the center console and she wrapped her bony hand around mine. I knew soon the summer days would come to an end and she would go back to Arizona and leave me in Massachusetts but that was okay because we had now and now was all I needed.
