Skipper day to thanksgiving
Y/n POV
I woke up with dried tears on my face and feeling pretty tired from all the tossing and turning in the night.
Matt still wasn't awake.
I'm going to at least attempt to talk to someone today.
We're going to spend thanksgiving at the hospital I suppose, at least I'm with Matt.
There's been no news about Matt, sadly.
I got up from the sofa bed which I had slept on for the past week and walked to my rucksack, which had all my clothes in.
J-Fred was looking after me for the past few nights, I felt closer to him than the other guys, as he is Matts brother.
I threw on some black jeans and a light blue shirt. I didn't do my makeup today but I did my hair into a messy bun. I grabbed my denim jacket and put it on.
I took my phone from charge to see 23 unread texts from the guys, but I haven't picked up my phone since 'the incident'.
I tucked my phone away into the pocket of my jeans and walked to the door.
I took a big breath in and walked quietly down the stairs to see Joey sitting on the sofa back turned to me.
He's been the most supportive with the whole thing but he's been the one that's most hurt, but doesn't show it.
I walked up behind him,
"G-good morning J-Joey' my voice was horse and sore from not speaking for a week.
"Oh my gosh y/n!" He shouted as he jumped over the back of the chair and tackled me into a big hug.
"I missed your happy voice" he chuckled letting go of me.
"H-happy t-thanksgiving" I said to him,
"Happy thanksgiving, your voice sounds a little rough"
he said walking over to the coffee machine.
He made coffee and bring it to me as I took a sip.
"Thank you j-Joey"
He hummed in response and walked back to the sofa sitting down next to me.
"Later, all of us will be going to the hospital to spend thanksgiving with Matt"
Joey said as I hugged onto his side.
He looked down at me and smiled.
After about an hour of spending time with Joey, I went back upstairs for a bit.
"Y/N! The guys are here!!" Joey shouted up to me.
I switched my phone off and put it in my pocket, I walked to the doorway and walked downstairs to see all the guys chatting.
The guys looked up to me as I smiled.
"H-hello" I said trying to be as enthusiastic as I could.
"Y/n!" Bryan shouted as we hugged.
"Your t-talking?" Bobby stuttered.
I chatted with everyone as much as I could before it turned 2:48, we all got in cars and drove to Joeys house for food.
After a good time we went to the hospital.
We drove into the parking area and got out. We walked up to the receptionist.
"Errr here to visit M-Matthew Fredrick" Connor stuttered.
We walked to his room and slowly opened the door and went inside. I saw Matt there,
Lifeless.
A tear started rolling down my cheek as Bobby wiped it away.
"Don't cry, he will pull through. I know it" he said reinsured me.
A few hours in. We gathered around Matt and started saying what we were thankful of.
"I'm thankful of having you guys supporting me through everything I do" Connor said proudly.
"I'm thankful of food and water to live on, I'm thankful of everything the lord has provided for me" Joey said
"I'm thankful of having such a loving family" Kevin said glancing at Bryan making him smile.
"I'm thankful of family and friends that are amazing" Bryan said
"I'm thankful of having a roof over my head and a bed to sleep on, also I'm thankful for my good health. Bobby said.
"I'm thankful for everyone in my life, I'm thankful for the education I had. I'm thankful for loving family and friends" Gunner said glancing quickly over to Connor.
Okay my turn I took a breath in.
"I'm thankful for being adopted from the orphanage and meeting all of you guys, you are the family I never had. I'm thankful for the safety and security I feel around you guys" I said looking down.
"Oka-" Bryan was cut of
"And I'm t-thankful for the life I have and the people I have in it" Matt said.
Wait.
Matt said?!
We all looked at Matt who was rubbing his eyes.
"OH MY GOSH MATT!"
I ran to Matt and gently gave him a hug and pecked him on the lips.
"Bro.." Joey said hugging him
"Told ya he would pull through it" Bobby said.
This was the best day of my life.
We got the nurse in and she brand us all out of his room having to take small checks on Matt.
She came out of the room and clapped her hands together.
"He is allowed to be discharged in a few days" she said
We said our goodbyes and the guys started walking back to the car,
I said I would be there in a bit and went back to Matt.
"I really did miss you" I said hugging him.
"You literally saved my life.. you could of died, For me" I said speechless
He kissed me passionately, after a few minutes which felt like an eternity we pulled away.
"I would risk everything for you y/n. I love you so much, you mean the world to me. I would never leave you."
I smiled at him
"Well I best be on my way then, the guys are waiting for me in the car" I giggled.
I gave Matt one last hug and walked through the door.
I walked out to the car park and got into the car, I was in the back with gunner.
We started going as I put on my seatbelt on. I turned to Gunner to see him smirking.
"What?" I whisper yelled.
"You and Matt." He smiled as I giggled.
"What about you and Connor then? Huh?" I whispered His face tinted red as he looked out the window
"I d-don't know if he likes me back.. it's... I don't know, difficult." He whispered
"Gunner, are you blind? He does like you, a lot!" I whispered back to him.
He just hummed in response as we chatted for the whole ride home.
Once we got home we celebrated,
it turned 3:43 am and I went upstairs to sleep.
Feeling happy for once.
