Alicia pulled out a new canvas. Starting with simple colors, she drew a branch of a tree. On the branch, she drew a bird. A dove, to be exact. She painted another dove next to it. She looked at the simple work. She began to add details. Alicia, getting lost in her painting, lost track of time and realized it was already dark outside. Alicia changed out of her paint splattered pajamas and into new ones as she lay down in bed. Thinking about what may come next, about what might not. What art she might paint, what art she might not. In the morning, Alicia pulls out the dove painting and hangs it on her wall. Doves. The sign of love. What did one need after they found the love of their life? Alicia always wondered the near-impossible questions of life. It was Saturday, July 16, and Alicia was heading out to a coffee shop. Dressed in her usual teal tank top and pink shorts, Alicia went outside. She crosses the street to the shop and ordered a chai latte. Being a regular, the barista knew what she wanted, but it was a little joke they had together. Alicia sat down at a table, and soon after, a guy sat next to her. He had glasses, light brown hair, and was sorta short. "Hi," the boy said, sounding a bit shy.
"Hi," said Alicia.
Neither knew a relationship blossomed from that one little word.
