Maison(home)

The smell of powder is in the air.Blood and fur is all over the den floor.Our maison was attacked.Human stench was all around us.Their barrels pointed at our mother who was standing over fathers body.She was growling in rage and  despair.My younger den-mate, Moonfluff , shuffled quickly to the very back of the den, hiding himself in the rotting flesh and bones of are latest meal. SiltPaw stood behind Mother baring his teeth at the grown men who stand hostilely at the mouth of our den,my den, where I was raised.How dare they attack us like WE are the savage beasts?!We have stayed away from their territory for years, why should they attack us?Why should they kill my Father?Mother is attacking now.She leaps into the air and rips at the throat of the Human that killed Father.Its a bloody scene once she is done.This human is decapitated as fast as a stream of water.Her next victim is too stunned to move out of the way in time.Mother knocked his riffle in a quick sweep of her paw and within a second had him pinned to the ground under her blood soaked body. SiltPaw leaps out of the den to deliver a nasty bite to the mans side, ripping away plenty of flesh to feed two full grown wolves. The man howls in pain until he remains lifeless from blood loss. Both Mother and SiltPaw turn to the next attacker but are too slow to move out of the way of his weapon. Too afraid to look I scramble over to Moonfluff's side only to have heard the piercing squeal of a bullet being shot through the body of a wolf.
