Eliscia woke, not as if in a dream, infact it was about as far from a dream you could get. Her eyes opened and she screamed. It was like someone had turned her senses to twelve. Every sound, every smell was screaming through her head. Her eyes focused on every speck of dust in the room at the same time and then the world returned to black.
The next time she woke, she did so cautiously. Opening one eye slowly, waiting for the sensery explosion. Nothing. She opend the other and tried to think. Where was she? She looked around the room. It was large, wood walls, a shed maybe? The walls ceiling and floor where covered in plant growth, and strange lumps of metal and glass. In the corner she saw the twins, pinned to the wall by a lattice of silver. Atleast she thought it was the twins. They had the same chessnut hair, but the figure was hard to make out, might just be one of the twins. But then where was the other. She tried to stand to confirm the figures identity, and realized that she was in her own mass of wire. She wiggled, trying to break free of the snare, but could bearly move. Then she saw why. The wires where actually pericing her flesh. That's when the panic really say in, and for a third time she decended into the darkness.
This time she didn't wake, but was woken. An odd tapping, that went straight through her, to the bone, shocked her awake. Her eyes opened to see an old man, seventy maybe, wirery with an odd look in his eye, reading from an old book and tapping on the wires. The feeling of each tap sinned Eliscia. It was like the wires were grinding through the bones in her hand. The old man grumbled something and lifted her hand. As if by magic the wires bent and flowed to let him examine her hands. There were wires skewering every finger and knuckle. The feeling of the wires moving in and around her skin finally made eliscia snap
"WHAT THE FUCK!!" she screamed trying to pull her self free from the swirling metal. It instantly stiffened, holding her steady. The man also froze. Her probebly thought that she was still unconscious.
"Oh dear. That wasn't a very nice thing to do to an old man like myself. Scaring my so. And you should watch your language" he muttered, as if he was a snobbish teacher.
"nice? Why the hell would i care about nice!? You've stuck wires in my hands!" The man looked down as if just realising this.
"Oh well yes. I have. But why does that excuse Curtissy?" He turned and walk of into the jumble of rubbish with out awaiting an answer.
"Hey! What do you think your doing!? Let me go!" Eliscia began to panic and pull against the restrant. He ignored her and instead picked up a shard of some crystal and walked over to the the twin. They were also awake, and tried to get away from him. But they were in the same prison as eliscia. The old man calmly walked up and held the crystal to the metal. It moved around it, pulling it towards its captive. The twin screamed. The man walked back over to eliscia holding what looked like pizza cutter, but it was triangular. The screaming continued, getint louder and louder, as the man started cutting away the the wires around her left hand. Suddenly the room silent. The man froze. Turning slowly to look at the corner where the tortured screaming should be coming from. Nothing. Just a strange, soft glow. He smiled, and went back to work with her hands.
"Get away from me! Let me go!" She cried as he started to take the little needels out of her fingers.
"Ita hard to work with so much noise" he grumbled putting a cloth in her mouth. Like the wire, the material coiled around her head, stopping any further comment. When the last of the metal shards where removed, he took out a stick. It was like a conductors batton. Then a silver stream of light left the tip of the wand and started to close up the holes in her hand. The fear and awe of seeing her own skin pull itself back together silenced eliscias struggles. She just stared, dumfounded. The man smurcked. Then the light stopped. The man admired his work then flicked her finger. A bolt of lightning leaped from her hand, blasting a hole in the wall. The old man flew backwards as smoke and the smell of chard planks filled the air. Eliscia didnt even register the explosion, who her captures misfortune. She just stared at her hand. Where there was now chunk missing from the end of her finger, right down to the bone. But what scared her more then the pain, more then the charred flesh, more even then the protruding bone, was the tinning glowing runes, etched into the pale white bone of her finger. The glow continued down her hand, but it was dulled by the skin the still covered it. But her naked bone shown like the lightning that had leaped from it. The room was filled with every colour you could think of. Then it faded and as the room went dark, so did eliscias eyes.
