Marinette's POV

"Marinette! It's time to wake up!" 

It was only 7am, I was only half awake, "What in the heck Tikki! It's only 7! Why'd you wake me up!" I complain as I rub my eyes. 

She grinned and flew around me, humming delightfully. 

"Looks like someone is in a good mood, but that doesn't mean you have to ruin my good sleep!" I took her and tried tickling her, she laughed in return.

"Ah! Stop Marinette!" She screeched between her giggles, "It was your idea to wake up early for a change! You told me to wake you up!" Then it clicked, right, it was my idea. 

"Right..." I let her go, feeling a bit guilty. 

"Now why don't you wake up and go get ready for school!" She crosses her tiny hands, I nod. "Alright alright, 'mum'."

After getting ready, I left to go downstairs to my parents, well, not my biological parents, but this is the 15th year I've lived with them, so I treat them like my real parents.

"Morning Mum! Morning Dad!" I give them both a peck on the cheeks, they both flash me a big smile.

"Oh morning sweetie, you're unusually up early today." My mum grinned while helping dad setting up the bakery. 

I scratch the back of my head, embarrassed. "Yeah, I decided to change.. Haha!" 

"Here, since you're going to school early today, why don't you take more macaroons and croissants to share with your friends?" Dad gave me a box, which contained multiple sweets. 

"Alright, thank you dad! See you guys later!" We exchange smiles before I left.

Third Person's POV

Marinette arrive at school, she walks over to her friends, Alya, Nino and... Adrien, her one and only crush. 

"Yeah, and I heard her saying that!" Alya laughed, not noticing that Marinette was soon to be approaching them. 

"Wow dude, not cool of her." Nino also didn't notice her.

"Morning guys!" Marinette surprises them, which gave Alya a shudder, she turns around.

"Girl?! You're early? Is the world ending?!! Nino! I'm so scared!" 

"Yeah dudette! First time eh? 

Marinette rolls her eyes, "Geez guys, no need to be THAT dramatic." Adrien stood on the side, chuckling.

"Morning Marinette, nice to see you early at school." He smiles.

Marinette flushes to a deep shade of red, "O-oh yes A-A-Adrien! You l-look so n-n-nice too! I mean no! You don't! nice to see you too! W-wait no! That's not wh-what I meant! ugh..." She facepalms herself, only to make the other three laugh, her face turns redder.

"H...here guys, my dad told me to share these with you!" She takes out the box of sweets, letting each of them to take some.

"This is really good Marinette!" Adrien compliments while eating one of the macaroons, what a sight... Marinette thought to herself.

"Yeah girl, tell your parents I said thank you." Alya smirked at the two. 

RING RING

The bell rang, the four friends headed off to class. But weirdly, Ms Bustier was late.

"Sorry class about my tardiness, something... odd, but exciting came up..." She trailed off, her eyes fixed on the letter she was holding the whole time. "Well, it's good news! I'll tell you guys after I mark the roll." 

Everyone was curious of what the news was, but patiently waited for her to finish the roll. "And lastly... Marinette?" 

"Here."

Ms Bustier looked up from her computer, her eyes landed on Marinette, mixed emotions shown in her eyes. "..Oh! Marinette! You're here early! That's good." Marinette felt a bit embarrassed, but why did she look at her like that? Could it be... No way, probably just surprised that she's here early. 

"Okay... So, I'm not exactly sure if this is confirmed... But." Ms Bustier took in a deep breath, the whole class tensed up. "We, as a class, are invited to, visit the Kingdom of China, as an excursion... I guess.." 

Everyone paused for a minute.

"Ms Bustier, it's not April fools yet."

"What? No way."

"Why us? This must be a prank right?" 

No one had seemed to believe her, except Marinette, her heart pounded so fast, so her guess was right, they did do it. 

"Settle down, class." Ms Bustier sighed, "I know it sounds very... Unrealistic, but it is true, an email has been sent to all your parents about this excursion, it will be next month. I hope you all are excited, rather than... disbelief." She scanned the class, who was still all not believing her words.

"No way! We're going to China!" Alix exclaimed.

"The kingdom? Does that mean we get to meet the king and queen?" Max asks.

"Or better! The princess! No one has yet seen her since her birth!" Rose screeches excitedly.

The whole class became kind of... chaotic. 

"hey girl! Aren't you excited!?" Alya nudged Marinette, who was looking oddly ill. 

"H-huh? Oh, yeah." Marinette tried to force out a smile, but Alya can see right through her best friend, she knew something was off.

"What's wrong, Mari?" She grabs her by the shoulders and asks worriedly.

"I.. I'll tell you about it later." Marinette looks down, she wasn't upset, no, absolutely not, she was excited too, but something just bothered her very much, why would they invite her whole class? What is their aim?

"Of course we're best friends! I knew her since she was a kid, and I visit her a lot now and then." Lila said proudly. "Why do you think we're invited? Obviously because of me!" 

"Wow Lila! You know so much people!" Mylene said in awe.

"Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!" Chloe growled on the side.

"Then, what is her name? Lila?" 

"UH, u-uh... uhmm..." Lila stutters, "it's in Chinese, I don't think you guys would understand."

"I take Chinese classes." Adrien suddenly spoke out.

"Oh Adrien! Her name... is... uhm..... Hwangguaa!"She says in a weird accent, making up a name on the top of her head, damn it Lila! Good one!

Adrien looks at her, not looking very amused. "That means cucumber in Chinese, Lila." Everyone starts laughing and Lila ran off in embarrassment.
