"...K-kyo...?" Eyes wide opened, he dropped onto his knees and stared in fear.
Silence hung in the air dryly as Kyo's body lay limply on the road, face blank and pale.
"H-Hey...can you hear me? Oi! Kyo.... Kyo! D-Don't keep quiet! Talk to me!"
It was just seconds ago, when she was jumping up and down cheerily, so excited for her eighteenth birthday celebration.
How could she be so quiet now?
A pool of blood started to form from the back of her skull, dyeing the cement road dark red.
There was so much blood flowing. Ten could even see his reflection in the thick red liquid. It grew into a large puddle and his fingertips came into contact with the blood.
It felt so warm.
The warmth that he always felt from Kyo was slowly, steadily, seeping out , draining the life out of her.
"H-help...." He finally broke out from the shock, realizing he had to get help fast. "...H-HELP! Someone call the ambulance! My phone is broken! PLEASE! HURRY!"
The drunk driven car was long gone and some passer-by were frantically fishing out their phones to contact the emergency hotline.
"Stay with me, Kyo...please..."
As he looked into her big lifeless eyes, the same old excruciating pain hit him once again.
A man in a black suit rushed forward with his briefcase. "I-I'm a doctor. Please let me take a look at her--"
"Thank you..." Ten muttered, shifting back with a hand clasped on his forehead. "..aa."
"The girl has a terrible impact on her skull. It might affect her cerebellum...a TBI even--erm...boy are you alright?"
Ten looked up, frowning and losing focus. "Wha-.." He was beginning to see two figures of the man before him.
"You...are bleeding, we need to get you to the hospital too."
"W-what...I--" Before he could even respond, his vision began to darken and then, everything went blank.
