Lost World

Prologue 1/2

Gun shots loomed through the air. Breathing heavily, I rest my head on the cold dusty wall. Kent peeks through the broken window, his dark black hair and hazel eyes light up from the flames afar. "Is he back yet?" I ask. Kent shakes his head and leans back on the wall. We both hear foot steps coming from a broken down room, the foot steps get closer and closer... then stop. Kent gives me a sign to stay put and grabs a brick from the floor. He slowly walks towards the room. He rushes to the room with the brick held high.

"Woah wait it's me!!" Zento said with his arms out getting ready for impact. Kent freezes then tosses​ the brick on the ground.

I come rushing out of the room and hug Zento, "Brother!" I say happily. It was dangerous for my brother to be out, he could have been killed by the Xotavin's! We were getting chased by some, that's when we all got split up from Scarlet. I look next to him and see Scarlet on the floor, "What happened to her?! Is she okay?" I drop down to her and try to wake her up.

"When I had found Scarlet we were getting chased still, she fallen and hit her head," He says worried, he kneels down next to me and Scarlet. He puts his hand over her forehead and wipes blood off. Scarlet opens her eyes slowly, she looks back and forth to me and my brother. He lets out a big breath in relief, "I'm glad your okay​."

Scarlet sits up holding her head in her hand, "My head is killing me," she says in pain. We tell her to rest but she insisted that we should keep moving so they don't find us. But it was already too late they did. We kept running and running, my legs began to hurt along with my arm. Kent kept pulling it for me to catch up. I'm scared I don't want to die, I don't want them to die. My mom, dad, and most of the friends have been killed already. They are all I got. More gun shots are fired, one, I look back to see Scarlet falling to the ground. 

"No!!" I scream as tears stream down my face.

"Scarlet!" Zento choked. "How much closer are we?!"

"We are almost there! Just a little more!" Kent shrieked, we take a turn dodging some bullets. Zento begins to slow down. 

"Kent, get Willow out of here. I'll try to hold them back to let you two get enough time to get out of here." Zento said sternly. "Go now!"

"No you cant leave me! Please don't!" I say tugging on his arm to come with us. He gives me a sad smile saying 'leave me, you'll be fine without me.' Kent picks me up and starts running off with me. I struggle trying to get loose from his grip. I see Xotavin's turn the corner, my brother tries to fight them but... Gun shots are fired again... Two. I try to scream but Kent puts his hand over my mouth.

"There were two more kids, get them we are suppose to kill everyone in this town! No survivors!" Says one of the Xotavin's. More soldiers come rushing at us, the sound of gun shots can be heard behind us. None of them hit us luckily, we keep running but we cant run forever. I see a light moving faster than us on the side of us. Then it was in front of us. The light from the gun lit up our faces and again the sound came...Three.
