I have suffered from chronic migraines since I was 6 years old
This is mostly for me but if someone I know finds it I guess run with it bc this is a list of things that helps me and doesn't help me
•cold water; cold usually helps over heat with my migraines and they can make my entire body feel like it's on fire so cold water usually...well...cools things down
•hair; there is a theory that if you massage your head upside down for 5 minutes every night it will grow almost triple the speed it normally does....This is true and it's because of blood flow. Playing with my hair whilst I have a migraine almost iliminates the pain for a few minutes at the least because it gets the blood flowing to more areas of my head than just one
•comfort; I think this is more of a mental thing than something that actually cures my migraines. I used to get held by my father or my grandmother when I had a migraine and knowing someone was there tends to help immensely but as I've gotten older I've realized that no one is going to hold me when I hurt so reassurance helps a lot in the aspect
•caregiver; Having a caregiver usually just means someone is there to look after and make sure every need it met. Like, my medicine has been taken or that I've eaten or that I've been drinking. I usually forget about these things when I have migraines and sometimes it's not necessarily my fault, do you know how hard to think it is with a migraine? I just need someone to keep the lights low, keep the volumes down, let me hide my face and take care of me because I can't do it on my own
