The first day of college is always the worst day, well it's just the first day off school period. I walked on to the campus of my new school and felt like I was a fish. Probably because I am considered the weakest link of the bunch and that I am new here. People are walking past me and looking at me like I disgust them in some type of way. Which I haven't done nothing, but just stand here looking for a stupid sign. Which I found across from where I was standing, but look like it was a mile away. I started to walk towards it. I felt like I was in front of someone directly. Then I turned around and saw my twin sister behind me hiding from all the people in front of us.
Me and my sister stand a good five foot seven. She has long light brown hair with a red tint, and I have long dark brown hair with a red tint. We both have hassle eyes with green in the middle. Yeah that weird I know but that works for us. She is a little bit on the chubby side, and I look more athletic. We're almost the opposite of each other when it comes to personality, but not really. I can act like my age, but that's a little hard for me, while she can do it like its second nature. On top of everything she has a boyfriend, and me well I did at one point but he liked someone else better than me, so he dumped me.
"Hey sis, do you know where you're going," she asked. I pulled her in front of me and kept on walking to the auditorium. "Well I guess you do, so I'm going to keep following you," she added. I looked at her and kept on walking. I love my sister, but I don't talk to her much. After a little while longer we made it to the auditorium. My feet were hurting like crazy and this was only the first day. I looked around and saw an empty seat. I couldn't find any seat to sit in so me and my sister had to stand at the back. That tells you how many freshman there is at this school.
After a good five minutes of just looking around at people talking to each other and trying to get to know new people, a lady walking on to the stage. She looked short with short blond hair. She had a body of an average person who does nothing but sit down on their behinds all day. When she started talking, she sound like a guy. If I wasn't looking at her I would think that she was a guy. She explained her life story like we wanted to hear it, but it did explain why her voice was so deep. She is a trans-gender. That makes all types of sense. Past that the stupid assembly was just that stupid. Just explaining the life of a college student, the different organizations, and our curfew. What do we look like with a curfew? We grown, on our own, and have a curfew, straight bull.
Once she was done talking every one left the auditorium. We started heading to our first class of the year. I know what class I have, but have no idea where it is. I was looking for a building that was named after a famous person whose name I couldn't remember. All I could remember was that the building was close to the front of the campus, only because the second class that I have it in the middle of the campus. As I was walking towards the front I ran into a guy. We bumped into each other so hard that I fell down. Looking from the ground he looked about a good six feet tall. He stuck his hand out to help me off the ground. That was very sweet of him, but he really didn't have to do that at all.
"I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing at all," he said. Without me realizing it I was blushing like crazy.
"No, it's my fault," I told him. Standing next to him he did look about six feet tall, so I wasn't tripping when I was on my ass on the floor. Out of embarrassment I went around him and kept on walking trying to find my class. Which I should of asked him did he even know where the class was. Then again he was probably a freshman like me, who knew.
Once I got to my class I was pretty late. Soon as I walked in everyone looked at me like I was an outcast, and I felt like this was high school all over again. I mean just having those eyes stare into my skull and me melt away made me feel like I was a witch that they was about to hang or drown. I slowly went up the stairs to an empty seat in the back where no one can see or hear me. To me that's the best way to be. Not in peoples vision or hearing.
