It spreads quickly, devouring cities whole. Uncontrollable and unpredictable when in that scale; but take away its food and it cannot survive, it will shrink. It is always starving for anything flammable. Its favourite is forests but logs of wood work too. Humans, just like everything else in the world, have learned to control it, manipulate it. Up until a certain size, humans have learned to use its flames for their own benefit; and once they have no further need of it, or if they are no longer able to manipulate it, they end it, with no mercy. Trained and treated just like a circus animal, it sometimes even is one. In the end, we are grateful. Grateful that it warms us up on cold, unforgiving nights, grateful it makes food edible, grateful for all the ways we can benefit from it, and grateful that it has given us an ability to kill it at our desire.
