The Legend of Dragons

Prologue

Author's Note: Thank you for checking out The Legend of Dragons! This is a fantasy book that involves...tan tan tan tan!!!.... Dragons, romance, action, adventure, drama and a bit of other stuff. Anyway, I must warn that this is a book I made when I was younger so it might be a bit childish. Anyway, hope you enjoy it!

A long time ago, in distant and unknown lands, mystical creatures lived and ruled everything around. The powerful eternal rulers of these distant lands were known for their awesome firepower, flying skills, strength, intelligence and cunning. These amazing animals were invincible and did whatever they wanted. This land was called Fidgon.

There, mountains stretched for miles, oceans spread over the land, forests were dense, caves were homes and dragons were leaders. These giant beasts roamed the earth in search of food, shelter, water and companionship. The ruler of dragons, known for his magical power, was also the ruler of everything on Fidgon. He was the strongest of all, but he was neither a tyrant nor unfair.As great as he was, should any other young adult dragon try to get him out of power, threaten or attacks him, he would kill him, break him and end his life, taking out this dragon’s power menacingly. When he had to fight he didn’t have pity or sympathy. His various scars showed everyone how much he had battled and won.

Unlike other dragons, this dragon had six giant wings, four powerful legs, a pointed tail full of thorns. His teeth were thin and very sharp, with some thicker and shorter. His firepower was greater than that of many others, considering that all flames were blue. His claws were long and as sharp as the teeth and along with his powerful legs and large paws, he could take down an enemy with a single blow.One of his main features was his three horns on the back of his head. They were black and in spiral, causing major damage if used. Also, there was another horn, on the front, thick and short. His back was covered with long and thin thorns that protected his spine. His belly and chest were protected by scales that looked more like giant bones because of their great resistance. His whole body was covered with smaller scales that reflected a bit of sunshine and were fire proof. The name of this dragon was Fini , but he was best known for the title of God of Dragons, or Dedag .

In Fidgon, the children of Dedag were stronger and better able to survive than others and so they usually liked to show off. The Dedag had two to five children his entire life, so their children, called Judag, were rare. Dragons have always dominated Fidgon and were accustomed to being the best. But after several decades a new species appeared; the humans. At this point , the Dedag was no longer Fini , but Jonath , and there were more Judags than before . However , another type of dragon also appeared . A mix between Judags and normal dragons created Midag . The Midags were not accepted by Judags but got on very well with normal dragons . Despite all the Judags really hated the Midags so they often fought each other and many died. But when Jonath discovered the existence of humans, he summoned the Midags and Judags for a conference .

" As you all know , everyone here is related to me by blood, their breeds or types do not matter to me, but I am looking for the strongest . " Jonath paused and continued coldly. " Everyone will have to fight, female , male , young, all will fight on their specific rating squad and those who overcome will be chosen for Cider, a special squad that will keep an eye on humans and will live with everything they need " He took a breath and continued . " That's all, rankings will be announced tomorrow and the fights will begin the next day , good luck to all . "

With that the ratings were chosen and the fighting began. For a decade the struggles continued until everyone had fighter and some, chosen. During this period many dragons died or were euthanized due to their injuries. But the Cider was created and founded and humans began to be watched closely.

To show the humans that the dragons were the leaders of the world, Jonath ordered to kidnap their princesses, but not to be turned into food , and after a year or two be returned . However , Jonath would have never imagined the will and courage of some humans who dared to invade the land of dragons and start killing their hatchlings in cold blood . That's how the war between humans and dragons begun.

Over the decades, the humans became more and more powerful. The situation of the dragons became increasingly precarious . Jonath died a long time before and the new Dedag called Sith , did not want to give up their land, but he knew he could not just go on like this forever and so he called another conference with the dragons of Sidra .

"As everyone knows, thousands of our dragons died in the war against the humans. We are greatly reduced in number and need a drastic solution. "He sighed and seemed undecided about what to do, but continued. "My father, Magrot, told me Jonath's true intentions when he created the Cider. According to my father, Jonath knew that humans were very dangerous and created the Cider as a way out for us. The Cider is actually a project where you, the members of it, will be saved and will be hidden in this world while the rest of the dragons will be transformed into normal human and will be hidden from them. "

" Lord Dedag , how do you expect the dragons to turn into humans? " Asked an elderly dragon.

" As everyone knows , the Dedag has a very large and mysterious magical power . During my reign , I discovered my true power and understood what my father told me. He gave me a formula, probably passed by Jonath, to transform the dragons in humans without killing thier inner dragon. With that , I'll tell you how long you should wait to release those inner dragons , where to meet and what to do. However , after I recite this formula , my body will be absorbed by the power of magic and I will become memories ... "

"But sir! You cannot do this! You are the best Dedag so far! " The same gentleman spoke.

"How dare you say I cannot!" He roared angrily. "I am the Dedag and I say everything here! This was an order and hope you to follow it! "

With this, the formula was recited and the escape plan was successful. However, the mix between normal humans and dragons disguised created a new class: the Hudags. The Hudags didn’t know they were Hudags, they just knew they were human. Children of Hudags were not always Hudags, in fact, rarely any Hudag’s son had an inner dragon and so the plan had to be postponed a few more decades.

After a few millennia, the day that the plan would be accomplished was closing in and dark forces were waiting ...
