Chapter 1

Today is the new tomorrow

Rain Jackson is the name.I grew up here ,Here in this small cabin.So did my sister Milan.She is the best friend you could ever have.Except that she is a 14 year old walking disaster machine.Just imagine be annoyed everyday every hour every minute every second of the day ,But in the end I love her to death.

"Rain could you help me with my homework",Milan said."Sure kiddo what you need?",I said trying to hide my disappointment."With this,How is it that if I can multiply this but can't multiply the variable.",She said in frustration."Well you can do this but you can't do that,And I don't know why it's math no one is supposed to get it completely",I said."Yeah you're right",Milan said.

Mom walked by."Where are you going?",I said hoping she'd stay."To the shop,I have to work till 11 this time",She said grabbing her stuff."But mom...You promised a dinner tonight,just the three if us.",Milan said.She stopped gathering her stuff and came on the bed between us."Milan....Rain....You know if I could stay home I would but I just can't...Well not right now.",Mom said."Why not?",Milan said."I have work at the shop.And without work there would be no money and without money there would be no house no clothing no hygiene and no food to put in your bellies.",She said.

Me and Milan gave mom a look.We sat in silence for a few minutes until mom broke it."Now I got to leave,Are you guys sure you'll be alright for a couple hours?",She said.Me and Milan nodded.Mom leaned in and gave us both kisses on the forehead."I love you girls and nothing will ever change that.",She said"There is food in the fridge if you get hungry."She left the door cracked before leaving.

"So how about that homework",I said."I don't feel like it anymore.",Milan said."Whats wrong?",I asked."Nothing,I'm just hungry.",Milan said hiding her sadness."I'll go fix us something",I said."Thanks Rain,You are the best sister a girl can ever have.",Milan said."No I think you got it twisted you are.",I said smiling."Well I don't mean to brag but I.....",Milan trailed.I tackled her to the bed.We both laughed and played until we heard the *Ding* of the oven."I'll beat ya!",I said."Well.....",Milan began to say until she pushed me and took off."Hey!No fair!",I said running after her.

And the evening trailed off like that until it was time to go to bed.
