Song Jina had only been employed at the coffee shop near her home for a few days before she noticed him. He always came into the shop at 8am sharp and ordered the same drink, a caramel macchiato, every time.
In the many months she had been at work, the two had never exchanged any words that didn't pertain to him ordering his coffee, but she found herself wondering what his story was, why he ordered the same thing every time and why she had never once seen him come in with anyone else. She scolded herself multiple times for this, ensuring herself that she was just curious, but in the back of her mind she knew that it was more than that.
Although they had never had a real conversation, she liked to think his pleasant exterior matched his personality. The way he gave her a small smile every day led her to believe that he was kind and polite. She also noted that he was very quiet and she had only heard his laugh once, while he was in the phone to who she presumed was his friend, but it was the most melodious sound she had ever experienced.
To put it simply, she was infatuated with a man she had never exchanged more than 10 words with at a time.
Her coworker, Yanan, had noticed her admiration for the boy and attempted to advise her but the girl was in complete denial of her feelings. They had gotten close in the time of her employment, so he had let it slide for a few days before getting fed up with her love sickness and hatching a plan, a plan to get the two to have a real conversation. All he would have to do is switch the boy's order and hope he would speak up. It wasn't a very thought out plan, what if he didn't say anything or got angry? However, Yanan decided something had to be done, even if it risked him getting yelled at.
After getting home from work, he decided he'd do it the next day, before he chickened out of it. He only hoped she was brave enough to actually speak coherent sentences, but knowing her, it was pretty unlikely.
Yanan slept that night knowing that his plan could possibly make his friend's life a lot more interesting.
A/N: hihi I've decided to republish this although it really won't be updated often but what the heck, you know? There's no point in just keeping it in my drafts
