Chapter One: Breaking Away pt.1

Darkness....

That is the first I see when open my eyes. I quickly sat up in the bed I was in, my hand going to my throat in the process. Another nightmare... I could hear my wolf growl inside my mind telling me that she is as upset as I am.

"Calm down, nothing like that will ever happen again. It's all over now."

"You can't know for sure," her growl grew and her ears flattened against her head.

I snarled at her words, "I would never allow it!" She stayed quiet but she was pacing back and forth clearly agitated.

Rolling over I peeked at the clock on the night stand and feel a growl at the back of my throat, "Shit!" It's 7:45am and I'm late. I quickly get out of bed, grab some clothes and run into my bathroom while ignoring my wolfs lecture about being on time.

"What's the point of you going anywhere when you are never on time! You are the previous' Beta's daughter and the current ones sister, its time that you start acting like it!" Her words came out low but they were true, I was the Betas' sister and it was damn time that I start acting like it. I was no longer that scared little pup who didn't know how to defend herself, I was a she-wolf now but its my past that keeps me from fulfilling my role. My wolf can feel pain and sadness as I start to remember why I am the way I am and she whimpers a little as if to tell me everything is alright.

Closing the door of my bathroom I strip out of my clothes to take a shower, loving the feeling of the hot water as it hits my body I let out a sigh.

After I'm done showing I get dressed while trying not to at myself in the mirror, I failed. My eyes catch the light pink color of the scars on my back but before I get a better look my phone rings.

"Hel--"

"Where are you?! You were supposed to be here 45 minutes ago!" A whiny voice said on the other end.

I roll my eyes. It was my best friend Jay, her and I have been friends since we were pups and I could tell that she was getting seriously pissed, "I just finished getting dressed and I'm on my way."

"You better be Jake and I won't wait around any longer for you and your lazy ass." With that being said she hung up and I couldn't help but smile at her childish ways. I walked out of the house and ran toward the pack house.

I arrived 5 minutes later and just when I reached for the door knob the door bursts open and I unconsciously flinch as the scent sea water hits my nose, I immediately know who it is.

"Alpha Ty," I bow my head and step to the side so he can go past me. Ty doesn't move and just stands there looking at me and that's when I smell it...lust. You see Ty has always had a thing for me and is always asking me to be is mate and every single time I turn him down hoping one day he'll finally get the hint.

He moved through the door and stopped in front of me, "Good morning Safire, if you are looking for Jay and her brother they left about a minute ago."

"Oh thank you for informing me Alpha Ty I should be going then," I turn to leave but I feel a warm hand grab my wrist.

My wolf growled and bared her teeth at Ty, "Hands OFF! Before I rip them off!" She does not like him at all and I don't blame her, he's always trying to find a way into my pants and my wolf is big on respect.

"Alpha Ty would you let go, my wolf is not liking you touching me and neither am I" A tiny growl came out of my mouth before I had time to stop it and almost immediately I regretted it. Ty's eyes glazed over and turned dark which meant he was angry, you never want to anger a Alpha especially this one.

I stare at his face showing him that I won't back down just because he was my Alpha and that seems to send him over the edge because the next thing I knew I was thrown hard against the door frame with his arm pushing at my throat chocking me.

"Don't you EVER speak to me that way! I am your Alpha and you will respect me!" A loud growl erupted out of his chest then he threw me to the ground.

My eyes were probably as black as his if not blacker as I stared at him from the ground, my own low, loud growl ripping from my chest as I spat him my wolf begging to be let free, "You are not my Alpha! An Alpha wouldn't hurt a member of his own pack like this!" His hands ball into tight fists at his sides and it looks like he is going to hit something but at that moment my brother Matt, his Beta, comes up.

"Alpha Ty you are needed at the training grounds." Ty takes one more look at me before going off in the direction of the training grounds.

"Are you alright Saf?" Matt comes over to me and helps me off the ground with a worried expression.

"I'm alright Matt, he's just being a dick as always."

"Saf I know you're not alright, I'm your older brother we have a special bond." He gives me a teasing grin and I give a light laugh as a response.

"Thank you Matt really," My wolf nodded her head in agreement to what I was about to say because she knew it was the right thing for the both of us, "but it doesn't really matter anymore because I'm leaving."

Hey guys this is my first werewolf story, it may not be very good and I'm sorry about that. I have thought about doing this story for a while now and I am finally brave enough to it^^
