"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU KEPT THIS A SECRET FROM ME!!" I holler.
"I'm sorry, it wasn't something I can just blurt out." My father tells me, trying to stay calm.
"Still! This is huge! I trusted you!" I say even more mad.
"Nicole! You are over reacting!" Now he says getting mad.
"Over reacting?!" I'm pretty sure you would freak out too if you're parents told you this!" I shout.
"I apologize. You were just too young to understand." He says.
"I'm going home!" I say walking out.
"Do not walk away from me!" He hollers
"I'm walking!" I holler back.
"Nicole. Nicole!" I hear him shout as I grab the door knob.
"Leave me alone!" I yell before closing the door and walking home.
If you weren't aware, those two people arguing, was me and my father. He kept a huge secret from me. I trusted him. I thought he was just a lousy lawyer. But no, he is much more that that.
Now, let me take you where it all started.
I was just a girl in school, doing my work like a good student.
"Turn in your Asia packets!" My teacher, Mr. Stephens, shouts at the class.
"I turned mine in last month." I tell him.
"Yeah, you're probably the only student that turned it in." He tells me.
"Sup Mr. Potato Man!" A girl shouts walking in along with another girl.
"Well look who finally decided to show up, Yoselin, Reyna." He tells the two girls.
"Sorry sir, we just didn't feel like coming." The other girl says.
"Detention. Both of you." He says.
"Oh no! Not detention!" Yoselin says pretending to be sad.
"Mr! How could you?! We are perfect little angels!" Reyna shouts sarcastically.
I chuckle.
"Nicole. You can join them too." He tells me.
"What?! I'm sorry Mr. Potato, I mean Stephens!" I say.
"Too late." He tells me.
"FML." I say.
Yoselin and Reyna walk over to me.
"So, is this your first time in detention?" Reyna asks me.
"Yes." I tell them.
"Don't worry, you can just skip with us." Yoselin says.
"Yeah, I don't think so." Mr. Stephens says.
"I will make sure they don't let y'all three leave." He tells us.
"I like your sense of humor." Yoselin says.
