Not a single drop of anything even blood-like, and when I smelled the air it didn't smell of rotten flesh and metallic blood. Instead it smelled of jasmine and honey, a comforting smell, a smell that one could fall asleep to. The mirror looked untouched and freshly polished, no signs of being so much as touched, let alone being smashed. I looked over to the tub cautiously, given that last time I peered into it, it was filled with creepy crawly bugs, and gag-inducing creatures; not this time though,to my surprise it looked to be in tip top shape, almost glowing in the amber light of the sconces on the wall. Everything seemed to be...normal, the worry singing in the back of my mind quieted in my moment of realization, that I could've been dreaming it all and this is where i was meant to be. Maybe I forgot the truth. Maybe this is where I'm supposed to be; Too busy lost in my thoughts, I didn't hear the gentle knock at the door and gasped aloud when I saw a woman emerge from the door. As soon as she saw me she dropped the soaps and flowers she had tucked in her arms and gave a weak screech "Why miss, I say, why are you in my quarters. I was about to let a bath for myself" she murmured, her voice quivering. "Dreadfully sorry, I'll just be on my wa-" my voice trailed off as I saw what she was wearing. She was in a maids uniform, the maids uniform. The name emblazoned on said uniform was, of course, Mariam
