Soulmates. An interesting and common topic among witches and wizards alike. There was only one way to know who your soulmate was. Only the owner of a wand and their soulmate respectively could control a wand. There had been waves of shock rippling through the crowds when Harry used Draco's wand to defeat Him. It had been overlooked as a trick of the eye among the witnesses, and almost entirely forgotten as those alike celebrated the war they had won and mourned for those who had given up their lives fighting for the greater good.

Ginny hadn't forgotten. She was smiling so widely when Harry used the unicorn wand  and it worked effectively, she was so happy that one of her best friends had found his soulmate. Ginny had become acquainted with Draco when her unsurprising talent for transfiguration matched his and they had become partners out of class. She knew what he was capable of, and knew how funny he was. Ginny wasn't too sure Harry deserved Draco, because Draco was so fragile and on edge, as oppose to Harry's throwing caution to the wind style. She hope Harry didn't break Draco. She knew all too well how easy it was to break a person like him.

Hermione hadn't forgotten. Some things never cease to amaze you, and through Ginny she had discovered that Harry had used Draco's wand. The bushy haired girl recognised that it wasn't Harry's wand, but couldn't place whose it was. Although she wouldn't have chosen Draco for her best friend, she grudgingly agreed that you don't stalk someone the way they did for it to be nothing.

Draco shut down. In a desperate attempt to vanquish Voldemort one last time, he had thrown his nemesis his hawthorn wand. When it effectively worked, Draco couldn't breathe. He couldn't comprehend the way some things worked out in the end. So he left. He left everything that he knew, and he fled to the place he knew nothing about. Draco made a life for himself in the muggle world. As of now, Draco owned a small bookshop in the middle of Sydney, Australia. He was confident he wouldn't be found, and his bookshop was popular, not only because it sold books, but because of a certain silver eyed and blonde owner. Girls constantly came into the shop to have a conversation with the attractive young owner, much to his dismay. He already had a soulmate, thank you very much, and he was pretty certain Potter wasn't a girl.

Harry was shook. When the thorn in his side threw an unfamiliar wand, he had panicked. Succeed or die trying, Harry had thought. So he tried, and to his shock, he succeeded. After the battle, the first thing he did was sought his chosen one, his destiny, but couldn't find him. That alone had almost broken him. No one knew if Draco Malfoy was dead or alive outside the ministry, and they were bind by an oath not to share the information. As everyone settled into their lives again, Harry had put everything on hold in his life, which honestly wasn't a lot, and searched for Draco. Ron and Hermione helped, though mostly Ron as Hermione was caught up in studying everything they had missed in the blur that had been the previous year. The one place they hadn't thought to look was the muggle world, as surely no Malfoy would ever step foot in a non magick community? Wrong. Oh so wrong.
