New York City, 1953
The man walked into the detective's office and grabbed the gun concealed under his suit jacket. The man sitting at the desk stared down the dark unforgiving barrel of the pistol. " Now mister I just need you to tell me the location of the safe and then both of us can leave alive." The man holding the gun said. " Why should I?" Asked the man at the desk. " As soon as I tell you I will be of no use to you and you will shoot me. I would much rather stay alive and smoke a cigar." The detective than took a matchbox and a cigar box from a compartment under the desk and proceeded to lit the cigar. " What if I give you my word?" The man with the gun asked with a smile cocking the gun at the same time. " You are no doubt a liar and a thief your word means as much as a grain of sand." The detective answered blowing smoke. He than reached for the phone on his desk. The pistol went off with a brilliant light and a noise that could frighten off the devil. The phone was destroyed in seconds. The detective smiled putting the cigar in the ashtray on his desk.. " Now that is better than call to the police thank you." " Why you..." The man with the gun never finished his sentence because there was now a bullet in his lung. The man fell over dead. The women behind him with the smoking gun glared at the detective. Her dark black hair fell over her pale white face and deep blue eyes. Her coat and pants were black and her shirt was a blinding white. "Another scumbag looking for that safe, you got to fix this Sam." Sam stood up from his desk. " Why I'll always have you guarding my back or rather his back?" He said nudging the mans body with his foot. Sam bent down and grabbed the mans wallet was monogramed with the initials H.M. " Herald Mills, well that certainly is an odd name isn't it Janet." "Should we dump the body in the East River or in Jersey." Janet asked. " I don't think we should be cruel enough to bury him in Jersey." Sam answered looking out the window overlooking the New York City. "East River it is than." Janet decided.
More on the way look out for Sam and Janet. I update when there is time. Bye.
