Difficulty: Soo Easy (Oh my gosh, it's literally just drawing lines)
So this chapter is all about simple noses and mouths. They are really quite easy to draw but might be a little frustrating at the start.
Mouths:
Step 1: draw a curved line (depending on emotion)
Step 2: Erase the center of the line. That's it! You're done.
Though let's say your character is amazed or astonished to see something so beautiful (IDK) and a closed smile like that won't do.
All you do is add a second curved line to the bottom and erase the center of that line. Personally I like the whole bunny teeth look but if your not really into that...
...that's fine by me.
Obviously you'll need to be able to draw the mouth in different ways to portray different emotions but I promise later on I will dedicate a whole chapter on how to portray emotions with facial expressions. Now moving on.
Noses:
To be honest, I don't know how to explain this. So these are all the basic, simple ways of how to draw an anime nose that I know because there are many, many ways of drawing noses in anime. As time passes I will teach you how to draw a more realistic anime nose but not yet.
Colouring:
Mouth-Draw an almost semi circle shape under the lip of your desired colour.
Then add highlights by simply creating a white dot on the lip.
Noses:
Once again it's so simple I can't even explain it. Just colour it in!
Tip: What I would mention though is the nose is one of the areas on the face that contains a lot of blush. Adding a little red to the skin colour will indicate this. It isn't common in anime to do this but you will that adding this little detail makes your character look more alive. Not adding blush on their faces could indicate that your character is sick or dead. (Intense)
This is my rough demonstration. Remember this tip as it will help in an upcoming chapter.
Alright so that's all on the basics of an anime moth and nose. It's pretty simple and straightforward but I want you to try create your own way of drawing noses and mouths. Don't rush, take your time and just let that pencil set you free.
