Another day at work. Though I'm lucky that I love what I do, and I'm grateful for the opportunities. Her footsteps echoed as she walked down the halls.
She was looking for someone. Someone that needed someone else to talk to. She opened the door to an office and found who she was searching for.
"Hello, Agent Carter. I heard what happened." She said looking at one of her closest friends.
Peggy Carter looked up at her with puffy eyes that were bloodshot from crying. She gave her friend a slight smile as she walked over to her.
"Hey Violet." She replied, wiping the tears of her cheeks.
Peggy was looking at that file again. Not just any file, but the file of Steve Rodgers who was declared missing and/or dead.
Violet put a comforting hand on Peggy's shoulder. "Hey, everything will be alright. I know you miss him. I'm pretty sure everyone here misses him too. But he did it for us. He did it for everyone in America."
Peggy nodded. "I know he had good intentions. I just wish I got to see him one last time."
"I know how you feel." Violet sighed. "I've lost people in my life too. But I know how strong you are. You work at Shield for heavens sake! I think that what you need is some nice hot tea."
Peggy smiled, her cheeks still red. "That'd be great. Thank you."
"I'll have someone bring you some. I still have some stuff I have to file. I'll see you later." Violet walked out of the office. She saw a employee walking by.
"Hey can you do me a huge favor and make a cup of chamomile tea for Agent Carter?" She requested to him.
He nodded and walked off. Violet then looked around to see if anyone else was passing by and closed her eyes. She envisioned the cold, icy tundra of the Arctic. She wanted to feel the cold air on her skin. She opened her eyes and saw that she was exactly where she wanted to be.
Everything around her was covered in ice, except for the faint outline of a plane's wing. She walked to it and saw the plane's wing jutting out from the ice.
Violet kneeled down and found its pilot encased. She put her hands out toward him and felt energy course through her fingers. A purple glow appeared from her hands and she muttered a few words under her breath. The light surrounded the pilot, making the ice shimmer.
"This should help you stay alive while at the same time keeping you fairly healthy." She whispered.
The purple light disappeared from the man and Violet slowly lowered her hands. She sighed. "This is the best that I can do for you as of now, but I know you're going to play in important role later on in the future."
Violet stood up and brushed the snow off her clothes. She took one more look at the wreckage before she walked away. She smiled to herself. "See you later, Captain."
