The songbirds are people who.. Well sing! Typical right? No. Their singing is angelic and can actually heal people. Dead, gravely ill, or slightly injured; you name it!
Songbirds used to roam around freely until they were caught (by Catchers) and sold like slaves. They live in an underground society.
