It's the begginning of winter break, Jeremiah and her father are packing there belongings, when all of the sudden she finds a strange locket she's never seen before. In side was a picture of Athena, Goddess of war, and a picture of Posiden, God of water and sea. "Jeremiah? Are you almost done? " Asked her father. "Yeah, dad! I'll be just a minute. " Jeremiah shoved the locket in the pocket of her coat and zipped it. She grabbed the last box and ran out of the house, her long brown hair in her face, turning back to look inside. "I'm gonna miss it here, " She said to her dad. "We've been here a while. It's gonna be so different. " As she turned her back to the house, she loaded the box in the back of the truck and jumped in.
On the way to her moms, Jeremiah and her dad stopped at a gas station to get a candy bar and a cup of hot cocoa, when she remembered the locket. "I'll be right back. Okay? " Jeremiah walked to the bathroom before her dad could say anything. She tugged the zipper open and gently pulled out the locket. The locket was shaped like a shield of some sort. On the back, the words "τσουνάμι πόλεμο" (tsounámi pólemo) Greek for "tsunami war" was engraved on the back. She hurried to the coffee machine where her dad awaited her. "Hurry up and pick your drink. We have to get your sister. " Jeremiah picked the "mint chocolate" hot cocoa. It was her favorite. Jeremiah and her dad finally got to her mom's house where her sister lived.
"Alyssa! Hurry up! It's cold! " Said Jeremiah. "I'm coming! " Yelled Alyssa. Alyssa was a tall 15 year old girl, with long blond hair. She was a gorgeous cheerleader, but she was friends with everyone in school. As the girls jumped in the truck, Alyssa handed Jeremiah a box. On the box, there were the words "MERRY CHRISTMAS" in a fancy golden font. "Aw, thanks Lyss." Lyss was Alyssa's nickname.
In the box was a glass heart shaped locket on a bracelet. Inside was a bronze plate that said "sisters forever" on it. "Thanks sis!" She had a smile on her face, which was very unusual for her. "No need to thank me! I'm your sister, and thats what sisters do!" She replied.
