It was cold out, as always. Walking home from my afternoon dance classes weren't the best, but the cool breeze would always repel the sweat from dripping any farther down my face, eventually evaporating out of existence, or at least I thought. I crossed the street, and a swift breezeof blew my hair into my face. Not all that pleasant without anyone to talk to. Just then, I took out my phone and in an instant typed in my password and clicked on the contact 'Izzy Navo' so I could text her. I waited a while for her to respond to my text asking her where she was. What seemed like hours, I got a text from Izzy, "At home studying for our Math test, remember?" I completely forgot she was in my class, and I totally forgot we had a test! I jogged up one more block and an alley way, breathless, unlocking my small, tinted condo. Inside, was no one, maybe out shopping but not buying anything because we all know they can't afford it. "Well, I could use nice, long nap."
After an hours worth of sleep, I woke up to the doorbell. When I opened it, I wasn't at all suprised to see my mom, for a i forgot to leave it unlocked, and I had the key. "Oops", I said with the least amount of grief. "Oops?! I've been ringing this doorbell for centuries!" My mom, with her anger face on, walked into her bed room, slamming the door, and snoring in the amount of time it took me to walk three steps. "Well, what a great way to start of my night, or end it, I really don't know or care."
I woke up on the couch, being to lazy to walk to my bed. Instantly I got a text, noticing it was only 6:30, Izzy texted me saying "Rise an shine darlin' , you excited 'bout the test?" I was to tired and ashamed of not studying last night to text back. Yah, that's my life. I then walked to school with my backpack open and my slippers on. Oh vey. First period, English. Well then, lets get to it. My English teacher was very rude, I hated him the most, but Math, oh I couldn't imagine. "I'm dead meat." Izzy rushed into the class, sitting down two seconds before the bell, almost as if she were suffering from a heart attack, as her breaths were, incapable of her capabilities. Not knowing what that means, she looks dead, not as much as I were to be in less than an hour.
We read about ocean exploration, found in an article due to the discoveries of Phillips Coustea. Least expecting the bell to ring, we hurried out of the class to our second period, mine was Math, or the day I die. My teacher, Mr. Slive, didn't wait a second to hand out the tests, and I shed a tear. "God help me, for I didn't deserve to dance my way into this mess."
