I watched as Kasidee picked out the bright yellow dress, held it to her chest, twirled and giggled. We were currently at Sassy Nancy's , a clothing store we would shop at, picking party dresses for Samantha Stein's End - of - Summer party. "What about this one?" I said ,getting up from the velvet chair I was sitting on, causing my long brown hair to flow around. I was wearing ripped blue jeans with a blue shirt with my hair down. I held up a pink dress with a silver lining and sparkles at the hips. "Hmm." Kasidee said, holding her fingernail to her mouth, her blue eyes looking at the dress. "I love it!" she said, running up to the cashier and putting her money on the dress. We left the store and went to meet my brother at Starbucks where he would take us to the pool. We both got a cappuccino and a cookie. My brother was at the corner looking at us. "Hurry up chicks!" he said with a smirk and went to the other side of the car. We looked at each other, laughed, and ran to the car.

As soon as we got to the pool, we splashed and laughed. When we got into the Jacuzzi,  Kasidee looked at me and asked, " You promise me we'll always be friends?" "Yes." I said.

But I realized now, it was all a big lie.
