"Legend has it that somewhere deep within a kingdom lost to time hides the Hall of Frames. Do you know what's so important about these frames?" Mother asked me, telling the story as if no one knew of it.

"They were portals!" I chimed with a grin. Although I had heard the story time and time again, each time I heard it felt like the first. I had begged Mother to tell me all the time (she had recited it no less than a thousand times for me), but each time I listened with the same awe and wonder as I had when I first heard it.

"Yes!" she said with a smile. "Very good, my little firefly." She patted my head and continued on. "One of these frames lead to a realm by the name of Sigrun. That's the war realm. In that realm, there are warriors with individual strength of ten men. Those warriors serve under the "Eight Children." They're split into equal parts of "Virtue" and "Sin." With the two, comes Balence. Do you know what that means, my little firefly? That means you must master your inner balance in order to have peace."

I nodded with a smile. "I will, Mama! I will." She smiled and pulled me into her lap, kissing my forehead and wrapping me in her arms before tickling me. My laugh rang through the room, cheery, happy, innocent.

I huffed as I leaned on a tree. What the heck even was that? I looked behind me before continuing forward, making sure not to stay in a straight line. It was easier to be caught that way. Never run in a straight line. I learned that the hard way.
