Equality has been a problem for a very long time. Hell, it still is a problem! In this book I will be discussing topics that people have probably talked about before, but I'll talk about it from my point of view. I can remember clearly of what happened a few years ago when I liked a boy (that was white) and my friend told me he would never like me because I was black.
From that point on, I kind of felt a little different because I was a black girl living in an area that had a lot of white people. Of course I had many crushes here and there, but I had a sense of mind that boys who weren't black would never like me or accept me for who I am. Racial equality is something that I am very passionate about. Black lives definitely matter! The term 'all lives matter' is irrelevant to me, I'm sorry. Black people have always been treated poorly. From slavery, and even right now. Racism is not dead. It may have improved, but it is not gone.
Another main type of equality I want to discuss is body equality. I see multiple videos on Youtube and on the internet on how to get a bikini body, and the videos are like 10 minutes long ADKNVNKMANDJJ wtf ??? To have a bikini body, you need to put on a bikini and live your life.
About a week ago, this person told my friend, "Hey, you know you're huge, right? Aren't you bothered by that?"
I REALLY wanted to punch that person. My friend wasn't even 'huge'. So what if she isn't model-size skinny?? Let her live her own size. It is her own body. She shouldn't be shamed for her OWN body by an incredulous person.
I will obviously talk about other types of equality and stuff, but these were the main two that I am passionate about. I hope you all can also learn from this : )
If I offended anyone or said something wrong in this rant, please let me know!
