Zoro x Reader: New years Kiss

New Years parties were mainly about having fun and getting wasted,But the Purpose of it was to celebrate the end of a year and the beginning of a new one.

The next day would most likely have a lot of people regretting drinking so much because of a heavy hangover

(Name) has just woken up from hers

Her head felt heavy and everything was blurry at first,she sat up slightly and looked around,Her room didn't seem trashed which is good,you don't know what to expect on New Years,Her Desk was organized,Her closet was shut and most likely clean,Zoro was Sleeping heavily next to her,The window wasn't shattered

'WAIT BACK UP A BIT.' (Name) thought and immediately returned her gaze to what she thought she saw,and her eyes weren't deceiving here,there laid Zoro,No shirt,Having only a pair of pants on and snoring away

She felt her face heat up and She cupped both her cheeks trying to calm down the rising heat,oh god,what happened?! Has she really 'slept' with her Closest friend on New Years after getting drunk?! What was she thinking?! What did Zoro say about this?! How will he react NOW?!

Her thoughts were cut off by Masculine groaning and Zoro getting up,he yawned and Hummed while looking around the room,He seemed to be relaxed,He notices (Name) sitting up and he Glanced at her "Yo, Slept well?" He asked and combed back his hair with his hand

Her silence was enough to tell him 'bitch what the hell happened last night did we fuck or some shit',he sighed and Patted her back "Don't worry,we didn't do anything last night." He said with a gentle look and (Name)'s shoulders relaxed after he stated that fact

"Except for kiss." He added and (Name) swiftly looked up at him with shock and he raised both his hands in a 'wait' Gesture "it wasn't you,it was me,Let me explain."

"This year finally ended." Zoro muttered with folded arms,(Name) stood next to him and gave him a small glance upon hearing him mutter those words,a smile spread on her face "You sound glad,Don't you?" She said and Zoro chuckled

"If you think about it,Lots of tough shit happened this year..Its almost like nothing good ever happened." He said and (Name) Shook her head "That's not true! For instance,Giant pandas aren't an endangered species anymore!" She argued and Zoro Ruffled her hair "that's all you care about,Eh?"

The countdown started as people chanted numbers backwards,starting from 60,Which gave Zoro more time to think about his 'move',the cliche New Years kiss every couple did at the end of the countdown,He thought it was stupid but hey it could give him a chance with her

He didn't realize that the countdown has reached 30 now,He turned to (name) and Gave a small 'Hey' to catch her attention "...ever kissed anyone before..??" He asked and (Name) blushed and shook her head "Never did..I'm saving it for someone who truly loves me." She replied and Scratched her cheek in embarrassment

Zoro stayed silent and stared at her,he wasn't technically staring,he was waiting for the countdown to reach 1,(Name) got slightly uncomfortable under his gaze and looked down while fiddling with the end of her shirt

Finally. They started counting down from 10

"Hey,(Name)?" He started and she looked up upon hearing her name "yeah?-!!" She tensed up as both his hands cupped her cheeks,Zoro leaned down slightly to Vanish some distance between them,3 seconds left

"Happy New Years." He said before pressing his Lips against hers in a loving Manner,people yelling in happiness and fireworks exploding in the sky as a welcome for the new year could be heard

(Name) didn't move for a Minute,she was surprised at this,then she remembered the 'New years kiss' Cliche,She started responding to his kiss by kissing back

They pulled away after the Happy yelling stopped,Zoro rested his forehead on hers and (Name) had her eyes down in embarrassment as Zoro kept his eyes on her,she let out a small chuckle "you and your cute cliche attempts,Zoro..." She said and Zoro shrugged "Hey,it worked this time,right?"

(Name) shrugged In defeat and he held her hand and gently tugged her back to the crowd "Come on,I've been Dying to get wasted ever since this party started."

"So...you carried me back home after I got drunk..?? Nothing happened except for the New Years kiss?" (Name) asked and Zoro stayed quiet at that and looked down slightly

"...Zoro,Look at me." (Name) said,his cheeks were smushed slightly due to her Basically grabbing his face and lifting it to face her,he still avoided eye contact "what happened last night."

"Me and you sorta made out after the party." He said and (Name)'s face was redder than..literally anything red,she covered her face while looking down and Zoro hugged her side ways "At least we both share the same feelings..?"
