The man and Joe fought on the ground and Scott watched. The man punched Joe and Scott ran over to the casket to grab the dummy's arm, then used it to knock out the man. He immediately starts to move towards Joe, looking extremely angry.
Joe smiled at this. "Bones! Nice shot!" He noticed his anger and frowned. "What?" Scott punched Joe in the jaw and then stomped off. Joe groaned and rubbed his jaw. "What'd I do?!"

Joe went straight to Scott's office to explain. "After I got shot, the Bureau faked my death so I could finally get that guy."
"I don't care."
"Look, I drove him underground. He said the only way that we would ever see him again would be at my funeral, so..."
"Who wath it?" Max asked as he peeked in the office.
Joe rolled his eyes. "What part of 'National Security' don't you understand, Max?"
Max snorted. "'National Thecurity': catch-all phrathe for 'we can do anything we wanth'."
Scott sighed. "I knew I shouldn't have gone to that funeral. It was a complete waste of time, just like I said."
"Wait- you thought my funeral was a waste of time?" Joe asked up at him as they walked out to the platform.
Kevin waved. "Lovely funeral, Joe."
Joe nodded. "Thanks. I was honestly expecting more people..."
Max chuckled a little. "I always imagined a lot of ex-botfriendth crying."
Joe furrowed his brow in thought, "Yeah, me too."
Mitch snorted. "You guys are pathetic."
Scott turned to Joe. "Just know I won't be attending your next funeral."
"Bones, I'm telling you. You were supposed to know that I wasn't really dead. I swear! That's why I thought you weren't crying! Honest!"
Kevin raised an eyebrow. "Informed by who, exactly?"
Joe sighed. "Look. I gave a list of people to the bureau to inform that I was not really dead. You know what? They didn't tell you, it's not my fault."
Malo butt in. "Dr. Hoying's actually upset because he had to face strong emotions that he'd rather deny. Striking Joe, indicated the depth of your feelings for him. It was a very passionate act, actually."
Joe laughed. "Thank you! Did you hear that? Passion!"
Scott exhaled deeply. "Yes, passion, because anger is a passion! Anger at being manipulated!"
Kirstie raised a hand. "Dr, Hoying? Theres a package here for you!" She handed him a package wrapped in plain brown paper - with "Dr. Scott Hoying" written on it in marker. He opened it to find a box, inside that box contains a mandible and 2 silver screws.
Joe looked in and his eyes widened. "Oh!"
"It's a mandible. In other words, a jaw." Scott said as he examined it.
Joe pointed in the box. "Look at that, huh. Two silver screws, Bones."
Max peeked over. "Thilver screwth ath in..."
Mitch finished for him. "Silver skeleton?"
Max nodded. "Ath in..."
Kevin answered this time. "Gormagon?"
Scott scoffed. "Speculation."
Kirstie picked it up. "Tooth marks."
Joe raised his eyebrows. "Somebody's been snacking on that."
