Ryan stared at the mirror blankly. He seemed extremely focused, thoughts racing. Suddenly he got up and yelled out in annoyance. "Gahhh, why is this so hard!?" To put it simply, he was wondering what to get as a present for someone who was quite special to him. That someone was White, his girlfriend. It was her birthday tomorrow.

Ryan was at a loss for what to do. You have to get something meaningful for those who mean a lot to you and none meant more to him than her. He racked his brain for possibilities. What would White like?

'That's an easy one.' he thought. Anything that Ryan got for her would be good as long as he was happy with it. That settles it. He got up, slapped on his cap and wore a triumphant smile... just as White came through the door. "Hey Ryan, you ready to head back out? We are almost there after all."

He turned to her with a toothy grin. "You bet." Then he grappled her into a hug filled with his new resolve. This caught her by surprise as he swung her up into the air and spun her around. "Wahh, what's this all about?" White yelled happily. "Just came to a decision." Ryan replied still grinning.

White stared at him confusedly. "About what?" Ryan lowered her to the ground and just as her feet touched the floor, he pressed his lips to hers. After pulling back he said coolly "That." White sighed almost exhaustedly which made Ryan's cool guy guise drop slightly. "Ohhh. Gross." She smiled. It was then Ryan's turn to sigh.

"Never change White." He then hugged her. As White had said, it was time to head out. They were heading back to their hometown with their pokemon. They were a few hours out and they decided to stop in a pokemon center for a rest. Ryan and White gathered their stuff, thanked Nurse Joy for the room and treatment of their Pokémon and exited the medical facility.

A few hours later:

Ryan and White arrived in their hometown of Vaniville. The streets were ripe with Pokémon and people alike. The happy couple were next door neighbours and proceeded to their houses together. Just like any other day in Kalos, the Sun was glaring down on the world and bathing it in a heated embrace.

The two of them arrived at their houses in a very short amount of time.

White: K Ryan, I will see you tomorrow, don't forget or I will kick your butt.

Ryan: Huh, forget what?

White glowered at her boyfriend menacingly though Ryan did not seem at all fazed by her death glare.

Ryan: I'm kidding, how could I forget the birthday of the most beautiful girl in the world?

White: Hmm, that's better.

The two of them shared a quick kiss and then entered their own gates. They both walked in parallel to their doors until Ryan walked into his own mailbox while being distracted causing White to giggle. When they made it to their doors, White waved her hand to Ryan and entered. However, instead of entering, Ryan watched carefully to see White was no longer watching and closed his door.

Ryan: Ok, now is my chance.

A smile crept up on Ryan's face as his birthday present plan was put into motion. He snuck down his garden because he knew White may have been watching from her window. That girl was like a ninja so he had to be cautious. When he was sure the coast was clear, he slipped out of his garden. He headed further into town.
