The night was dark, it felt cruel and unforgiving. The moon gave no consolation to what was happening. The atmosphere in the now ruined building was heavy, it was suffocating. It didn't help that her body was aching all over, and has been for a while now. Except for her torso that was numb and bleeding.
A big slab of fallen concrete crushed her lower-half, rendering her legs useless, and without aid, soon enough she'll bleed out. There was an explosion in the building, everyone has been evacuated safely, thanks to her aid, through the most mundane of ways. Quirkless, but intelligent and physically capable. She managed to extend a hand to those who would've ended up in the same place as she is now without her aid. That was enough for her.
How heroic.
A dark figure stood beside her limp body. Flecks of red came out of the unusual figure, which was shaped to resemble a human body, but not quite. It was frail and weak, limbs too elongated to be considered human-like.
The girl noticed what was standing by her, with her mind in pounding pain and vision almost fading to black...
She reached out her hand, a cry for help.
And so did the figure.
Upon contact, her whole body was sent into shock.
Before blacking out, the last words she heard were:
"There will be someone who will try their hardest to uncover who you will become after this... rid the world of them, be my instrument to chaos."
