Race Against The Blue Blur

Möbius. The planet you loved the most. Sure you've been to other planets, zones, and dimensions but none of them compared to Möbius. You're best friends with the planets hero Sonic The Hedgehog. You're also friends with the other freedom fighters. Sonic had told you to meet him by the forest. He challenged you to a race because..well what had happened yesterday.

"Haha I got here first" Sonic cheered. You rolled your eyes "you only got here first because I wasn't running at my top speed." You said with a slight annoyance. Everyone talked about Sonic being the fastest and that no one could beat him. You knew you were fast, maybe faster than him.

"Don't be a sore loser y/n. Everyone is good at something and running is my specialty" Sonic said with a smirk. The one thing you hated about him is when he acts all cocky, like he's better than everyone else. You crossed your arms "Everyone loses every now and then" you spoke.

Sonic's smirk turned into a frown "what are you implying? That you could beat me?!" Now it was your turn to smirk cockily "you don't think I could? I'm pretty fast you know." "Yeah right" he mumbled. "Okay, how about a race tomorrow, heh?" You suggested, your smirk never leaving your face. Sonic stood silent for a moment.

"Hmm..sure. A race to see who's the fastest." Sonic said as he turned away from you. You could tell he was annoyed. "Good. Where shall it be?" You asked. "The forest tomorrow afternoon. See you then y/n" Was the last thing Sonic said before he ran off. You chuckled as you also ran off.

You arrived at the forest, seeing Sonic leaning on a tree. "Yo Sonic!" You greeted with a small wave. He looked up at you with a straight face. "Ready y/n?" He asked as he pushed himself off the tree, and got into running position. "Really determined to win this race, huh?" You also got into position right next to him.

Sonic glanced at you "I'm not going to lose y/n." You've never seen Sonic like this before. He looked extremely serious and determined about this race. You didn't know if you'll win or not, but you were sure as hell going to try. "On your mark" you started. "Get set" Sonic said. "GO!" You both yelled and took off running.

As you ran your mind began to run as well 'I'm actually racing against Sonic! Am I going to win? Why was Sonic so serious? I mean it's just a race, right? What if I actually beat Sonic? Would I be considered the fastest hedgehog alive? How would Sonic feel? Will he still be my friend?' Your mind raced with many questions.

You weren't paying attention, too lost in thought. "Y/N LOOK OUT!" Sonic yelled which caused you to snap out of your thoughts. You focused on what was ahead of you, seeing you were about to hit a tree. You tried stopping but it was too late.

You smashed right into the tree pretty hard due to you running almost at your top speed. You fell back and groaned. Your vision became blurry, feeling waves of pain in your head. Last thing you saw before you blacked out was a blurry blue figure which you knew was Sonic and a white figure. 'Who...is that' was your last thought.

A/N: I know it's cringe worthy...but whatever. This was the only thing that came to mind atm so deal with it. It's going to get better tho (I hope).
