Ugh, the one time I leave my cell phone off silent, someone calls me.
I pick up the phone screen; it reads 3:34am.
Who even is it, at this hour?
Avery: Hello?
No-name: Hi, miss Bae? This is exec producer Lee, in charge of discovering new lyricists globally. We have finalized our pick of interns for the coming '18-19 year.
Surprised, I attempted to clear my raspy throat.
Avery: Is this for real? I'm the finalist?
Lee: Yes, (laughs) congratulations! Please check your e-mail for further info such as the contract, and your flight ticket.
Omg. Did they just provide me a plane ticket to Korea? Am I dreaming? I'm crying.
Avery: Okay, (tearing up) Thank you SO much. Miss Lee, right?
Lee: Yes, see you in Seoul, Avery :)
I know some may think I'm stupid and overdramatic for crying but they won't know how many nights I've spent trying to put together half-decent tracks with my low budget equipments, weary of if I'm even doing things right. Now I finally have the chance to make something of my craft! I immediately put my hands together and kneeled on top of my bed.
Thank you God
I whispered, watching my little lamp.
