Jasmine has two favorite things in the whole world.
The first thing is being the center of attention. She was the middle child, so her parents never pay much attention to her. She's the one to always get someone's attention by calling their name out in a room full of people. And all of the people she knows love her anyway, even though she's well aware that she get on people's nerves a lot of the time.
The second thing is her best friend. They knew each other since before Jasmine feels like remembering. Her name is Katherine, and they know every single thing anyone could possibly know about each other. Katherine's parents used to pick Jasmine up from school when her parents were out at work and the girls would do homework together, and then once they finished, they would go out for ice cream. Jasmine loved these times.
At the moment, the girls were seventeen and on their way to a five-star resort for summer vacation with all of their parents. While Katherine was busy trying to find her friend a boyfriend.
You see, Jasmine was probably the most beautiful girl Katherine ever got to call her friend. Therefore obviously, all kinds of boys were pining after her. And Jasmine never even noticed them.
Until today.
"Hey, I'm so glad our parents let us stay on our own room! They have never done that for us." Katherine gushed.
"I'm positive they're only doing it for us having to 'prove our maturity,' I know for a fact my mom and dad are in on it." Jasmine shrugged as she pulled her swimsuit out of her bag.
"You do realize one of the hottest musers lives here, right?" Katherine asked her oblivious friend.
"Who?"
"Oh, my gosh, 'who?' Only Gilmher Croes? Have you not ever listened to me talk about him? Because I do every day!"
Jasmine rolled her eyes. "So are we going to the pool or not?"
"Jasmine! Are you crazy? We're in Aruba! Beaches? There is no need to go to a pool when we are in Aruba."
"Fine. Let's go to the beach."

The girls stepped out of their hotel and already caught the eye of a few young men. Katherine, loving the fresh attention, flaunted her long red and bleached ombre hair in a high ponytail, long enough that it goes over her shoulder perfectly. Her red bikini matched her hair, which made her blue eyes pop a bit more than they usually do.
Jasmine's wavy shoulder-length brown hair, too short to wear in a ponytail, had natural looking hints of blonde in it, even though it was just a result of being in the sun a lot. Said sun also made her freckles a bit more prominent. They were darker than her already naturally tan skin, which complimented her burgundy halter neck swimsuit.
"Hey, what's your name?" A particularly attractive guy said to mainly Katherine. Of course, Katherine was all blushes and smiles as she giggled out her name in response.
He turned to Jasmine, "My friend Johm over here thinks you're hot. Do you two want to come over here and sit with us? We've got beer!"
Jasmine could tell that her friend was about to say yes when she stopped her. "Actually, we were here to do beach stuff, not flirt with guys. Also, we're underage."
Katherine gave Jasmine a warning look. "We're eighteen! Stop being such a killjoy." She pouted.
"We're seventeen, actually, and that is still underage." She looked over at the guy, "thanks for the offer, though!" she thanked before pulling Katherine away.
"What was that all about?"
"Our parents finally put some trust into us, and you want to come home drunk? Pretty immature if you ask me."
All of a sudden Katherine stopped paying attention. She was staring at something behind Jasmine.
Jasmine turned around and was dumbfounded by what she saw. He was the most attractive human she'd ever laid eyes on.
With his toffee skin, and soft, incredibly soft dark brown hair. And that smile. The way the corners of his mouth creased when he smiled with those precious braces. He was perfect.
"Uhm, Katherine? Do you see who I see? Who is that?" She managed to stutter.
"That's only Gilmher Croes! I've shown you like all of his musical.ly's."
"No, I mean the other one." She pointed a somewhat shaky hand to the boy.
"Oh yeah. I forgot to mention he has a brother." Katherine said, just as the two made eye contact.
