'Why do I feel this way?' Taylor thought to herself on the way to primary school one day with her brother Jake. She didn't hate her brother or love him, in fact, she didn't have any feelings towards him or anyone but for some reason, she wants to slowly kill him and see how bright his blood was on a knife. "Taylor, why are you staring at me creepily?" Jake questions her with his earphones still in his ear.
"There is something in your hair," Taylor lies. "Do you want me to get it out?" she asks.
"There's nothing there. I can see myself in the reflection of my phone," he says while looking at a black screen on his phone that reflected his face. Jake was all about his appearance but he hates society and normally had his daily rant on why he hates it. Taylor was different to her brother as she didn't have emotion but she's learning off of her family. Taylor was close to Jake as he was a third parent to her as their parents care more about money and work more than their children.
"Here you go. Have fun at school Taylor," Jake yells to Taylor as she skips happily on to the stone path that had a mix of yellow flowers and weeds with her matching dress and black, polished shoes with a blue ribbon in her hair. Jake walks to his high school with his head down and his earphones in with the volume high and the high school was a few minutes away from Taylor's school so he put on his I Hate School playlist. They both got bullied but to them that's normal. Jake's bullies are more physical than Taylor's but both of them are the only outcasts in their schools.
After the long 7 hours at school, Taylor waits outside her school thinking why she has an urge to kill her own brother. Jake rocks up with a black eye. She asks if he was okay.
"I'm okay. It's just those bastards beat me up today because they talked crap about you and I stood up for you," he responds in a croaky voice like he was punched in the throat. Taylor didn't care if they did. 'Maybe kill him tomorrow. Only mum and dad will care but no that much, they care more about the roof over our heads to stay the same even though Fran's family is paying for it' Taylor ponders.
"Brendon and Ryan are going out for a week for business stuff. I think they are going tonight," Jake mentions as Taylor was daydreaming about how bright his blood would be on a knife. "Taylor, did you hear me?" Jake's voice scares Taylor out of her daydream.
"No. Can you please repeat," says Taylor in a monotone voice.
"Brendon and Ryan are going on a business trip for a week, he repeats. They are going at 5 pm, so in around an hour," he adds.
"What type of business?" she inquires.
"I don't know. Maybe something happened in Taejon," Jake informs.
"Where is Taejon again?" Taylor asks in an extremely dead tone of voice.
"In South Korea," he responds. "Where we were for a year and a half," he adds after a pause.
"You haven't had your daily rant on why you hate society," Taylor mentions and Jake immediately talks about how society sucks then talks about how every politician is a reptile.
When they step on their stone pathway to the front door of their futuristic house. Taylor ponders if she tells Kelly about what she is going to do as she heard the booming voice of one of their fathers asking where a stash is. Taylor and Jake were confused on what their 'stash' is and what it contained. They walk into the hallway of their house, they see two running adults looking like they just got out of bed with their hair still with knots in it, both of them grabbing things like bags and clothes. "Haven't you guys packed?" Taylor pops the question. "We haven't had a chance to pack because we were working for the stuff in the Azores in Portugal."
